    Better AI

    Look, I get it, Lukasz is only one guy working on such a massive project, and, I mean, that's cool, he's already achieved a lot, he made an amazing game, full of scenarios and possibilities, wanna play as fascist Turkey in the modern world? Go for it! Maybe communist France during WW2, and ally to the Soviet Union? Heck yeah! Sure, there are a few bugs here and there, but the game is still pretty solid, I only have one problem with it.... The A.I., when you're playing a strategy game, the AI needs to be good (unless it's a multiplayer strategy game, but AOC II is singleplayer), otherwise you won't be challenged, it can be either a smart A.I., that you will need to think hard about what their decisions will be, and try to outsmart them, or an unfair AI, that is given advantages that the player doesn't have, the AoC II A.I. isn't unfair, but it isn't smart either, they will declare wars like a bunch of mad men, won't start alliances and their different ideologies actually don't change much, oh, and don''t get me started on their wars, they either spam all of their men or just don't move whatsoever, even when they have an advantage over their enemies. My suggestion isn't too complicated, it's just to make it so that the A.I. will follow a certain "pattern", depending on their ideology and power (as in population, industry, and money.), give each country a goal, and countries with similar goals will have a high change of forming an alliance, for example, a fascist country that is relatively strong, such as Germany in the WW2 start date, and able to succeed in wars agaisnt smaller nations would have a conquering goal, they would want to get more land, while big democratic/communist countries would rather get puppets, it can either be automatic goals, randomly generated for certain countries, depending on their power and ideology, or be goals made for certain countries in certain start dates, I've already noticed that very small and weak countries are generally the only ones to start alliance, I've seen Luxembourg and Isle of Men creating alliances in most of my Modern World games, so it would follow a similar pattern to that.

    Theres a lot of broken things about the game. Especially the events. I'd say 80% of it doesn't work, or doesn't have what I need, and has a bunch of useless crap.

    👑 A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones Mod👑 Finally, after many hours of edition, I'm glad to present you the ASOIAF / GoT mod for Age of Civilizations II! This mod comes with a map with civilizations based on A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R. R. Martin, which have been adapted in the critically acclaimed Game of Thrones TV series. Its main features are: A full map of the canon known world, including Westeros and Essos, and bits of Sothoryos and Ulthos. Contains 509 land provinces (604 including the ocean ones). More than 50 playable civilizations. Play as one of the Great Houses, command a Dothraki khalasar or rule one of the mysterious nations in the far east. Some of the main characters of the series appear as leaders of their respective civilizations. Terrains and population of the provinces have been defined as realistically as possible. For the moment, only one scenario has been created for the ASOIAF map. It corresponds to the beginning of both books and TV series, so you don't have to worry about spoilers. However, more scenarios are planned for the future. You can also create new scenarios with civilizations and leaders that come with the mod but are not still playable in the only scenario.     553 BCE map

    Well dudes, a very acient map. I was tempted to make a 2000 BCE map but 550 BCE was just on point. As you may guess, it's a pain in the ass. I'm still making it, i will add the several tribes and hordes of asia, the african peoples, and i need some help with indian states. I'll just skip over america since we have almost no data of the tribes back then (Only peruvian and mesoamerican civs), but if you want i'll add them The greeks are city states, the same with rome and the estruscans, but if you want me to change the ideology of any other civs just ask! I'll make it world wide, since i really like the idea of starting as a small tribe and slowly growing, but the grand civs are still there! I'm making it on android, but i'll get a new pc in a few days so i'll makenit in pc. Any help is welcome! Some issues and troubles I've had some troubles with flags, since, y'know, flags were just invented and almost no one used them. Some greeks city states don't have any distintive flag, so i just made them with a greek cross and no more. Obviously they are different. The same goes with almost every flag (Elam flag is from a reddit dude who just invented a flag for elam and i thought it was cool enough) The borders are a little off, specially in china. So, feel free to correct them

    imbalanced warfare

    Hi, I just want to understand how this works as it frustrates me. My current tribe has an economy of 25,000 (got it up from 9k) and a neighbouring tribes has conquered quite a few wastelands and other tribes, with an economy of now 18,000. The neighbour is quite aggressive and grows quickly in the normal mode. If only manage to have 750 units at any time as I otherwise have a negative income per round. The neighbour just started to invade me with 4k units and quickly flattens me. How is it possible that a) they can have so many units and b) able to sustain such an large amount per round? Would be good to learn on whether I am playing this all wrong. Best,

    I played on the PC, played the game for a long time, but I wanted to know how to edit an existing scenario, for example, I want to make a modification in the Ww2 scenario, but I want to have two WW2 scenarios, a scenario I would edit , the other would leave normally, someone could help with this

    And something else.... another neighbour country with 48 provinces, economy of 59,526, has 78,350 units in their capital, which is province of 3954 population. Anyone able to explain these two things to me, pretty please.

    So here are my ideas Let us build borders like: Level 1: Iron Fence Level 2: Guarded fence Level 3: A Wall (would be great at east germany and Mexico) Military base: if a nation attacks a province with a military base soldiers by themselves would spawn there Level 1: Military Camp Level 2: Military Camp Level 3: Militarized Zone Weaponized Towers: if a nation attacks it would shoot at them Level 1: Shoot 1 quarter of them Level 2: Shoot half of them Level 3 shoot 3 quarter of them Also ability to build cities in a province Level 1: Village Level 2: City Level 3: Metropolis Level 4: Energy City (Available from 2050) And you could name these cities and only 3 cities max /province. Also cities would make income and population growth bigger and we should be able to build workshop on cities not on provinces

    Lukasz, I'm sorry, but I think you are making a mistake by not updating AoCII further. There's no workshop, there's no iOS, the game is buggy, some people can't even launch the game, it could use more scenarios, etc. Wouldn't it be better to wait on starting on a new project for just a little bit longer?

    Why do they put Paraguay as a fascist government? If Paraguay is a republic since its creation and has presidents since March 13, 1884. When 300 disputed met in congress and the 2nd constitution was dictated with the "Law that establishes the Political Administration of the Republic of Paraguay" that divides the power, which would be exercised by a president for 10 years (in the actulidad are only 5 years). and in that Congress was named Carlos Lopez as the first president of the Republic of Paraguay thus dissolving the old system of government of the triumvirate that had 3 rulers and in a time 2 rulers and the last era of the trinvirato Carlos Lopez was the governor next to mariano roque alonso after the death of the governor jose gaspar rodriguez de francia (this was part of the triumvirate until it was appointed supreme dictator so was recognized by the congress but then would be recognized as president and not as dictator) and then the president of the time of this ecenario (francisco solano lopez) was first a replacement of his father Carlos Lopez after his death and then would be elected as the second president until his death in Cerro Cora during the war of the triple alliance (you could add francisco solano lopez if there is an update) (I should also add some event that has Uruguay in war with Paraguay and that is forming an alliance with Brazil and Argentina as a step in real life) I found a good scenario very well done. but the fascist government should, change to republic and Uruguay does not have an event that can participate, you would have to add some.

    Thats rare because wikipedia says that Corrientes sent 219 soldiers to aid Argentina and Entre Rios sent 751.Besides I,being Argentinian myself, never heard about this two provinces allying with Paraguay during the war of the triple alliance.
