    Age of Civilizations 2: Ultimate Overhaul We need Scenario & event creators! Age of Civilizations is a game that focuses on grand strategy, politics and other government driven elements. Łukasz Jakowski however, included something in the game that is rare in other grand strategy games. Customization. Customizing civilizations, leaders, maps, Whole scenarios, events in these scenarios, etc, etc... This, i think is a very good thing. The only bad thing about this, is that the game focuses more on the custom creative aspect than the realistic grand strategy one. This mod is going to be an overhaul for both these things. Unfortunately, a mod with the same goals named Addon+ is being created right now. My mod is still in a Debug alpha phase, and i can't release it in a state like this. This mod will include the following list of things: Translated Loading Screens Scenarios: The Great War (World War I) With historical events, leaders and custom civilizations, starting in 1st of January, 1914. (I've started doing it, The events are halfway done!) Overhauling the World War II Scenario in the following ways: Adding historical events with descisions. Setting an other start time for the Scenario for better readiness. Giving More corresponding bonuses to leaders given by their personality. Scenario "Die Folge" (The aftermath) happening right after the first world war, (Yes, believe it or not, lots of stuff happened after the first world war) containing a variety of events. Scenario "A Modern Mona Lisa" Containing the events of mostly Hitler taking control over germany (1920-1930). If you want to play as a country, that is falling apart at the moment, this is for you. A Cold War Scenario is also being made, but i'm not promising anything for this one. Backgrounds: Including a large variety of backgrounds, from a realistic one with every little mountain on earth, to a low resolution one for computers that can't handle the mod that good. Government, ideologies: From the leftist Communism the the Extreme right Fascism there are an estimate of ~15 ideologies being made right now including governments that are only avalible on 1 country in real life, or none anymore such as Patriotism (Hungary) Democratic Republic, Deposit Monarchy, so on and so forth. Planning on creating an election system for democratic countries just like in Hearts of Iron IV. Languages: Yes, every Scenario, Custom Leader, Loading screen and such will be translated into other*1 languages. Custom Maps: Custom Maps will be added to the mod, with custom scenarios, so people can create something new on a new map. Current map plans include Hungary, Austria, Germany, Washington, Budapest and The map of Graz. Leaders: Of course, if we make scenarios, we need to make sure, that we have good leaders for each scenario. From a Revolutionary Gavrillo Princip to an alternative timeline Franz Ferdinand, there will be as much leaders as possible. Thank you for reading! Current Status: Started with V0.0.4.8 on 22nd of january 2020 Systems: -A HOI4 style focus tree, but in this mod, it's called "Descision Tree", to avoid being sued by Paradox. (I can't show you the whole thing just yet.) -There will be lots of new stuff in the game, as we just decompiled it. These new system include: -More types of Vassals (Dominion, Colony, Crown Colony, State, Soviet Socialist State, etc, etc...) -Democratic elections all four years, if the country is: Democratic, Republic, City State, Patriotism -Ideological support system (See: hearts of iron 4) as you do your actions -Changing the values of terrains, planning before war nescessary -Adding seasons, each one having it's own effects on attacks, income and happiness -Adding religions -Adding a "secret service" action, where up to 400 people can work on a specific assignment, such as: Assasination Espionage Capture Recapture Special Operations *1: Other: This mod will not be translated to all languages, as that would be pretty hard to make.     If I wanted a complete province map I'd have to stitch one from the different layers I have in place. Right now I had to backtrack and work on drawing a map of Europe since I realized that I can't be using my province map as the background in-game and that I'll have to draw the provinces from the province map onto an actual geographical map of Europe ://. This will take some time but still it shouldn't take extremely long, like the province map itself did.

    Greater Europe Map v0.69 - The Waters

    The original province map was 15,000 by 10,000 pixels, I am making the background map at 7,500 by 5,000 pixels. All the provinces are still large enough at 3,500 by 2,500 but anything under that starts screwing up smaller provinces like San Marino, Vatican, Monaco and Liechtenstein. Once the background map is finished, I'm going to copy the province map into it and I'll use that for the editor. I'll use the province-less version for the actual game. This all means that the province map and background maps can be anywhere between 15000x10000 and 3500x2500, with the only difference being a drop in detail (if it's lower) or a drop in performance (if it's higher). For comparison, the current in-game background map is smaller than 2000x1000, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

    Animals can feed themselves unless you feed them so they will stop making any effort to get thei food and will eventually die if someday you stop feeding them. That's how it works, specially for cats. They stop hunting, they get weaker. This guy is just so dumb... This is the first time I insult someone in this comunity but this guy steals content, makes money with tham and is,, in addition, dumb.I reported him.

    Make Legendary AI Harder

    Hello everyone. When i first played AoC2, i played it on "normal" difficulty. I heard stories of the Legendary AI being impossible to beat. A while after i had played enough games to increase the AI level to Legendary. What i experienced disappointed me. The AI had no absolute idea of what strategy is. It didn't use diplomacy well. It didn't build alliances. It didn't spy me with towers. It never throwed me an ultimatum. It didn't managed its units well. It couldn't even keep its own country in peace but instead it fought wars that were impossible for it to beat and died in seconds! The AI isn't strategic in the minimal. When i play in legendary, i can invade anyone i want without fearing of another guy doing a surprise war on me, because the AI always accepts my pacts. If a bigger country is threatening me, i just form an alliance or sign a defensive pact, and problem solved. At wars, the AI keeps sending its units to death (and the infamous < 20 unit spam raid), and never predict an attack. The AI should be able to do a variety of strategies. Imagine an AI that makes you think twice on invading him by signing defensive pacts and forming alliances. An AI that manages its army so that he predicts your attacks (this is an strat that consists on sending units to an undefended provinces that the AI is likely to attack at the end of the turn, to avoid a breach in your front and a micro army spam), and knows if you will attack by spying with towers and increasing relations up to 45. An AI that releases vassals and demand vassalization instead of creating a silly frontier. An AI that fortifies its fronts and makes his country impenetrable. An AI that changes its goverment depending on being a warmonger or building economy. And many things that would make the game very challenging! To be honest, i end winning every game in legendary i play. No, i'm not bragging, because that is an easy feat. If you use diplomacy well, you can avoid being invaded by anyone. The AI is easily tricked with diplomacy, and if you predict movements you can avoid the spam raid also. Give it a try, and check how easily the AI can be managed. Please, make the AI harder! :p

    Actual version - WIP Age of Pirates II - modification, that takes you to Caribbean Sea, into Golden Age of piracy. +New map - Caribbean Sea (657 provinces) A unique feature of the mod is that you will capture not only land provinces, but also sea. +Some new government, like Pirate brotherhood or Colony administration. +Remaded buildings and population for authenticity +Scenarios from Age of Discovery to Modern days +Good soundtrack This is not full list of what will be in mod, in future I add new maps and, maybe, events.     Map Editor 2.0

    Greetings to you, dear creators! I am happy to report that russian community present you an improved version of the map editor, which differs from the usual one in that this version does not need to constantly restart the editor and manually rename the province files. This innovation will significantly reduce the time spent on creating a map and save your nerves. DOWNLOAD Installation: Download the archive attached to the post, unpack it to any folder and... start working! To launch the editor simply activate the file Age_of_Civilizations_Map_Editor.jar. You can find out how to delete all default provinces and create a map from scratch in the article attached below. this method also works with this editor. If you want to insert your existing map into the new version of the editor, just download this file, rename the file format to jar and move it to the folder with your editor, and then work in it through this file.     Go in the game files and open the "map" folder. In the map folder, go to the file named "Earth". Inside the Earth file, open the file named "formable_civs" This file contains a list of all the formable civs on a specific map. Find the tags of the three formable civs you want to delete and delete them. Then open the file named "Age_of_Civilizations" in notepad and find and delete the tags in their. Its as simple as that!
