    Age of Civilizations 2: Ultimate Overhaul It's been a while! Welcome, dear people, who are still interested in the Development of UO! I do not know why the discord invite is invalid, i set it to forever, lmao. So, I'm back. (Again), and we are still working on the mod. But due to the current situation of the Virus in europe, this all can just crumble down. I am happy, that I didn' t stop development, because these last time were incredibly harsh. But I'm back. (Fixed the Discord server link.) We need Scenario & event creators! Age of Civilizations is a game that focuses on grand strategy, politics and other government driven elements. Łukasz Jakowski however, included something in the game that is rare in other grand strategy games. Customization. Customizing civilizations, leaders, maps, Whole scenarios, events in these scenarios, etc, etc... This, i think is a very good thing. The only bad thing about this, is that the game focuses more on the custom creative aspect than the realistic grand strategy one. This mod is going to be an overhaul for both these things. Unfortunately, a mod with the same goals named Addon+ is being created right now. My mod is still in a Debug alpha phase, and i can't release it in a state like this. This mod will include the following list of things: Translated Loading Screens Scenarios: The Great War (World War I) With historical events, leaders and custom civilizations, starting in 1st of January, 1914. (I've started doing it, The events are halfway done!) Overhauling the World War II Scenario in the following ways: Adding historical events with descisions. Setting an other start time for the Scenario for better readiness. Giving More corresponding bonuses to leaders given by their personality. Scenario "Die Folge" (The aftermath) happening right after the first world war, (Yes, believe it or not, lots of stuff happened after the first world war) containing a variety of events. Scenario "A Modern Mona Lisa" Containing the events of mostly Hitler taking control over germany (1920-1930). If you want to play as a country, that is falling apart at the moment, this is for you. A Cold War Scenario is also being made, but i'm not promising anything for this one. Backgrounds: Including a large variety of backgrounds, from a realistic one with every little mountain on earth, to a low resolution one for computers that can't handle the mod that good. Government, ideologies: From the leftist Communism the the Extreme right Fascism there are an estimate of ~15 ideologies being made right now including governments that are only avalible on 1 country in real life, or none anymore such as Patriotism (Hungary) Democratic Republic, Despotic Monarchy, so on and so forth. Planning on creating an election system for democratic countries just like in Hearts of Iron IV. Languages: Yes, every Scenario, Custom Leader, Loading screen and such will be translated into other*1 languages. Custom Maps: Custom Maps will be added to the mod, with custom scenarios, so people can create something new on a new map. Current map plans include Hungary, Austria, Germany, Washington, Budapest and The map of Graz. Leaders: Of course, if we make scenarios, we need to make sure, that we have good leaders for each scenario. From a Revolutionary Gavrillo Princip to an alternative timeline Franz Ferdinand, there will be as much leaders as possible. Thank you for reading! Current Status: Started with V0.0.4.8 on 22nd of january 2020 Systems: -A HOI4 style focus tree, but in this mod, it's called "Descision Tree", to avoid being sued by Paradox. (I can't show you the whole thing just yet.) -There will be lots of new stuff in the game, as we just decompiled it. These new system include: -More types of Vassals (Dominion, Colony, Crown Colony, State, Soviet Socialist State, etc, etc...) -Democratic elections all four years, if the country is: Democratic, Republic, City State, Patriotism -Ideological support system (See: hearts of iron 4) as you do your actions -Changing the values of terrains, planning before war nescessary -Adding seasons, each one having it's own effects on attacks, income and happiness -Adding religions -Adding a "secret service" action, where up to 400 people can work on a specific assignment, such as: Assasination Espionage Capture Recapture Special Operations *1: Other: This mod will not be translated to all languages, as that would be pretty hard to make. Android players waited for a long time for a game like this, and they wanna just an update for the game now. Low system users, can't play games like EU, HOI4 etc and they are playing your game and they wait for an update. These guys supported you everytime, and they dont want much things now! We know you've worked so hard for this game. And we support you still, but a game producer should improve his game until be the best! I am happy to report that russian community present you an improved version of the map editor, which differs from the usual one in that this version does not need to constantly restart the editor and manually rename the province files. This innovation will significantly reduce the time spent on creating a map and save your nerves. DOWNLOAD Installation: Download the archive attached to the post, unpack it to any folder and... start working! To launch the editor simply activate the file Age_of_Civilizations_Map_Editor.jar. You can find out how to delete all default provinces and create a map from scratch in the article attached below. this method also works with this editor. If you want to insert your existing map into the new version of the editor, just download this file, rename the file format to jar and move it to the folder with your editor, and then work in it through this file.     Welcome to the Greater Europe Map project. My long term goal is to have a Europe with a ton of provinces, because why have America, Africa and Asia, when you can have a hell of a lot of provinces in Europe? My main focus in this mod is to add a lot of provinces while still keeping country borders and local borders at least kind of accurate. For example, Ireland has it's 32 counties. Right now the mod is in it's in-game stage, where I'm adding all of the provinces into the game. All of the resources added in this mod were created by me! The province map and the background map were both made by me.     Alright, forget this! If Łukasz ain't gonna fix his shit and make the events work properly, then this is clearly the end of the line. So, I officially declare that... Project Imperator is DEAD! Project Imperator is an AoC2 mod with a focus on quality rather than quantity. This mod has only a few scenarios, but the main scenario (Imperator: Modern Day) has its own storyline with events and decisions for various countries. When you play Project Imperator, the decisions you make will affect the outcome of the story and determine the fate of your nation in the long run. The main goal of Project Imperator is to provide the AoC2 community with a unique gameplay experience. Do note, however, that the name "Project Imperator" is actually just a code name for the mod. The actual title has not yet been revealed. Experience spoilers (screenshots) below... Play the Alpha! The current version of Project Imperator is Alpha Build 8, with events until March 31st, 2027. Alpha releases will continue until at least 10 builds have been released. All downloads for this mod have been taken down. NOTE: This mod is in an early stage of development, so expect bugs and/or missing content. (e.g. most event descriptions and pictures) s-ul may give you a warning saying "Files of this type can sometimes contain malware or viruses." This does not apply to Project Imperator. If you don't understand what a "patch" is... A patch is meant for people who have already installed the version that came before it. A patch only contains new and updated content without the rest of the mod, so downloading them is much quicker. On the other hand, a full mod contains all of the mod files.     So What Is 11:59? 11:59 is a total overhaul mod that focuses on historical accuracy as well as gameplay. Basically everything has been changed or altered, save for the core game mechanics or unmoddable pieces of the game. The feature list includes a brand new Decisions mechanic, (this will popup if your country has decisions scripted for it), a DEFCON mechanic (which is still work-in-progress), map changes, such as the 38th parallel in Korea (pictured below), West Berlin; canals, such as the Kiel Canal, the Panama Canal, and the Suez Canal. A brand new interface has been implemented. The soundtrack has been completely redone, and the list of tracks expanded to 52. There are now ~100 events, some of which are events that influence the AI's decisions (these events only popup for the AI, never the player) to ensure that it stays somewhat historical within the supported scenario: The Bear And The Eagle. Even more features such as custom province pictures for certain cities, the United Nations, and states and regions are also mentioned below. Furthermore, the soundtrack has been completely redone, with 53 new songs. The interface has also been completely redone, so has the states (regions in the base game). Nothing has been spared.     If you work for modders, modders will work for you. A couple of new features would help advance the modding community: 1) An event editor overhaul to make it more flexible. Currently, the event editor is so bugged that text will quite simply run off the screen. Here's what would improve the event editor: Fixing obvious bugs (text running off the screen, conditions not working [Controlled by, army in province are examples of conditions not working], the 'decision taken' condition displaying an error message even when valid, et cetera). Fix the 'Repeatable' glitch: Even when the conditions for the event are not met, the event fires anyway. Properly implemented booleans on events would prevent this. Adding a search field (also known as a search box) so that modders are able to search for events and organise their events better (especially handy when the number of events exceeds 100). Adding an event that is applicable to multiple participants with the following fields: Random Civilisation: Selects a random country once the event fires. Multiple Civilisations: Actively checks and fires the event (once conditions are met) for all countries in the list. Any Civilisation: Actively checks and fires the event for any country in the game. (Would be great for flavour events to keep the game fresh). Every Civilisation: When any country meets the conditions necessary to fire the event, all countries will receive events. Adding a new effect that would allow for buildings to be built on provinces. Adding a new effect that would annex land to a civilisation regardless of the province owner/controller. 2) New editors for existing mechanics. This would open up brand new possibilities for modders. Building Editor: Enables for the creation and editing of buildings, and the various effects that they would give. Technology Editor: Enables for the creation and editing of technology, and the various effects that they would give. 3) New mechanics/features. Capability for multiple units. This would ideally come with an editor which could create new units and adjust such things as cost, manpower, manoeuvre, offence, and defence. These units do not need unit models. Simply place an icon to the left of the number to represent which unit they are. Culture/Religion. Culture or religion would go a lot farther than the current nationality system, allowing for more complex behaviour as well as a better assimilation mechanic. (Right now, you simply throw money at people to make them 'assimilate', cultures would need to be 'accepted' or 'tolerated'). Casus bellis. Also known as 'justifications for war', casus bellis would put an end to the mindless wars that the AI tends to do. These would also come as event effects, and causes for war could be edited by modders via a new editor, or a .json file. Casus bellis would significantly improve the AI, and do away with the current concept of 'AI Aggressivity'. Loading screens (Not necessary). Custom static loading screens are extremely easy to implement in Java. It requires fetching a raw image from a file and simply rendering it on top of the screen. These would make the game (as well as mods) look far more professional than it already does. 4) Steam Workshop. At the end of the day, mods need to be distributed somehow. And the best way for mods to reach a wider audience is through Steam Workshop. Combined with previous reforms (which should be relatively easy to do given that the core framework of the game is already implemented), mods of much higher quality than the ones we see right now would begin to appear. Conclusion: These changes to the game would completely overhaul the game for the better, revolutionising the way mods are made and drastically improving the quality of these mods. In the end, it's the modding community that makes games successful, and that applies to the realm of Grand Strategy as well. Players are looking for features, and only you can deliver on that. Work for modders, so that modders work for you.

    CONQUEROR'S II | UPDATE NOTES As you know the normal AoC2 has about 80 formable civilizations. Conqueror's II will have over 200 formable civs. In addition, we will make the game more fun by adding new systems that we have added for the Ottoman Empire, Italy and Greece for more civilizations. As I said, the Modern World scenario in the Conqueror's II will be improved. Provinces with oil will be made more valuable. We improved the graphics. A strategy game should have a bit darkly graphics, so the new graphics a bit darker than the old one. But if you like the old one, we'll put the old background to "backgrounds" folder too. So you can use it too. You won't need to delete your own AoC2 to install the Conqueror's II on Android. We'll change the sign, so you can play your own AoC2 or another AoC2 mod and Conqueror's II at the same time. Conqueror's II will have some new civilizations too. About 50-60 new civilizations will be added in this mod. We completed the Conqueror's II - EU4 Extended Timeline Map. This map will have 3698 provinces. So you won't have any problem on Android devices. The Conqueror's II UI will be made for all of the User Interface levels. So you can see the icons, new UI etc. in all of the User Interface levels. There will be about 40 scenarios in the Conqueror's II. We'll just do the EU4 - Extended Timeline Scenarios and maybe some mini-war scenarios.     Yo! I was thinking of making a scenario for a world where World War II had not happened. Some things I put on this map at the moment: *The Weimar Republic, France and England supported Weimar and because of that they grew up in a good relationship, so there was no Germany wanting revenge. *Brazil and Argentina are fascists. The reason for this is that Getulio Vargas managed to come into power much earlier, and because of that, Brazil's dictatorship was stronger, this influencing Argentina. *Italy is a fascist monarchy, but more focused on monarchy, still with Mussolini in power. *Japan went to war with nationalist China but soon afterwards the US threatened to cut oil sales with Japan if they did not stop, so a peace treaty was made and Japan has a nationalist territory in China called Japanese States of China. *Paraguay and Uruguay formed an alliance to defend themselves against Brazil and Argentina. *Poland is only at risk of being attacked by the Soviet Union. Give me more ideas ❤️

    Norrvägen is the modification is dedicated to one of the most interesting parts of the World in terms of history - Scandinavia. Norrvägen will give you the opportunity to plunge into Scandinavian history, feel like one of the founders of the Viking Age and be the ruler of any existing state in Scandinavia at different times. It is planned to create at least 20 scenarios of different scales, whether it is the entire map, strewn with tribes and clans, or local conflicts, seasoned with events. Well, a few alternatives do not hurt. The main feature of the mod is a new map, currently consisting of 2261 provinces. The map province template was created by me personally, drawn by hand based on data from various historical sources, and includes a fairly accurate historical and modern administrative division. From the images below, you can see that the map includes not only Scandinavia, but also Britain, the Northern parts of Russia and Germany, as well as part of the Baltic States. These lands were added for historicity. For example, England and Baltica are present for the reason that the Vikings often organized campaigns in England and the Baltic States, which seriously affected the history of these peoples. In addition to the typical work on the map, I will create an atmospheric soundtrack, thematic interface, and other nice "accessories" to the mod. Some of other innovations of mod: - Edited game code. For example, I changed the numerical limit of troops to attack an enemy province from 10 to 100 units of troops, to exclude catch-up (video on this topic). I also raised the price of creating a coalition against another country in trade agreements. And (you'll be suprised) new buildings, which are in development now (one of test new building is shown in the screenshots below, also you may see it there); - New UI; - Edited and new added terrain types; - New Age - Viking Age in game timeline system; - Atmospheric music and edited sounds; - A few scenarios with events; - New leaders; - Formable civilizations; and more...     Roma Invicta is a new mod based on the ancients scenarios made by @GheovgosGJ. I aim to be as accurate possible, investigating in the sources and I try to giving you a good and valid scenarios. I do this for the sake of History, it is for me a way to celebrate it. Quoting Thucydides, "(The History is) A possession forever, rather than a piece to enjoy at the moment" (Stories, 22, 4) The mod contains: New historical civs (1100+ civs) New provinces in Greece and Turkey, Italy, Swis, France, Hiberia, around the Balck Sea. New Cities and renamed some vanilla cities (f.e.Baghdad is now Babylon, Istanbul is Byzantium, and so others) New 11 government types (Poleis, Persian Satrapy, Empire, Italic Tribe, Iberian Tribe, Celtic Tribe, Barbarian Kingdom, S.P.Q.R., Pharaonic Kingdom, Military Anarchy and Beduins) New 150+ historical leaders New formable Civilizations (Carthaginian Empire, Roman Republic, Spartan Empire, Athenian Empire, Theban Empire, Empire of the Argives, Macedonian Empire, Gallic Empire, Celtiberian Empire, Holy Carthaginian Empire, Etrurian Empire, Epirus Empire and much more!). In Mare Nostrum Scenario, Carthago Delenda Est, De Bellum Iugurthinum, 100BC I implemented Senate for Roman Republic. There are 2 factions, Optimates (a kind of right-wing) and Populares (a kind of left-wing). Each give you benefits: Optimates Improve your money and Economy but make you lose Happiness. Populares instead improve your happines and movements points, but make you lose money and economy. So, you'll try to be balanced. WARNINGS! If you support too many times each side, a civil war will broke out! Instead, if you try to change government types to Empire, there will be opponents and you must fight civil war (it needs some bugfixes but works). So, how became an Empire? You must follow these points: have more than 300 provinces (it changes depending on the scenario! More provinces has Roman Republic, more you need to become an Empire); have more than 90+ happiness in your civ; have more than 50'000 money and have more than 1000 soldiers in Rome. If you respect these points (not necessarily in order) you'll become Princeps! At moment, I'M NOT WORKING AT PROJECT. I'm BUSY and I can't do much. But I listen every suggestions, MAYBE in future I can do another update. If you want to share your scenario/civs, just send it to me. I'll add in package (IF it's historically correct, I'll control) and I'll give you all credits for that scenarios/civs. So: I'll consider all suggestions for Scenario, Leader, Civs or formable civs. I'll try to add here! IMPORTANT HISTORICAL NOTES Roman Republic was founded in 509BC and had as territories only Rome province. I wanted to add more provinces in formable Roman Republic to make more challenging (available for Roman Kingdom) Carthaginian Empire, Celtiberian Empire, Spartan Empire, Athenian Empire, Theban Empire, Empire of the Argives never existed. Misia , Egypt and Lydia were under Persian Control, but i wanted to make them as vassal, so Persian Empire don't be too strong. We don't know exactly when Trojan War was fought: someone says in 1250 BCE, others in 1180BCE. I choose 1250BCE due to there were great Kingdoms like Hittities and Assyrians. However, there wil be historical mistakes in Central Asia and India, I have tried to be as precise as possible. Etruscan and Phoenicians WERE NOT a single state, they were similar to Greek poleis. I wanted to make them as single state due to their history is different from Greeks. Third Punic War was fought in 149 BC, but I had to move in 150 BC. South India was made up of a lot of Civilizations during Maurya Empire. Out of necessity I reduced them. Italy in second Triumvirate (Octavian, Mark Antony and Lepidus) was shared indiscriminately by them, but, to balance it, I added some provinces of Italy to Octavian (otherwise it would have been too weak). Roman Empire was divided in 395. After the legacy of the reign of Cyrus the Greater, he tried to subdue Ionic colonies. All Poleis gave up to the Empire, except Myletus. This colony received army by athens, but they were defeated. Darius decided to continue his campaign and conquer Greece. But he had bad surprises. First Scenario, be kind Civilization suggested: Athens Events available only to Athens and few to Persian Empire. Poleis Scenario - Description This Scenario is located in 450 BC, in full splendor of Greek Culture. There are the most important greek colonies, as Akragas, Tarentum, Emporion. I added too some italic tribes like Sanniti or Siculi. Civilization suggested: whatever There are no events, its just scenario. 499 BC - Description This is full World for Persian War scenario: there are the no events, but diplomacy is the same. Civilization suggested: Carthage, Arverni, Helvetii, Roman Republic, Macedony, Neri's tribe, Sparta, Athens, Argos, Thebe They have formable civs! Peloponnesian War - Description After victory on Persian Empire, Athens became strong: Pericles led Athen to great glory. He formed Delios-Attic league to control Egean Sea. Sparta formed own leage and tried to oppose diplomatically Athens, but it was a climax of disputes, until 431BC, when war broke out. Thucydides said: "Of course this was the greatest upheaval that ever occurred among the Greeks and for a part of the barbarians and, so to speak, also for most men" Civilization suggested: Sparta (it has events!) Rise of Alexander - Description Alexander became King of Macedony early and everyone didn't trust him for his inexperience. He showed them they wrong. Civilization suggested: Macedony (it has events!) What if.. Alexander wasn't dead early? - Description This is an alternative scenario about Alexander: the events are based on my fantasy. There is Olympic Games. Civilization suggested: Macedonian Empire (it has events!) Trojan War - Description The Trojan War is told in Iliad, an ancient and important poem made by Homer.
