I found a problem in my map editor and so when I create a new province

it goes in a different type of code than the game accepts

    see example

    the Aoc2

    and the editor2052877857_seeeditor.thumb.JPG.acba84f624bb0ff1127febb0bcd3a5a8.JPG

please if anyone can tell me how to resolve tell me

I also found that but I don't think that's a matter. also: there should be two rows in your province file, not one. one for latitude and another for longitude

    Development Continues!

Age of Civilizations is a game that focuses on grand strategy, politics and other government driven elements. Łukasz Jakowski however, included something in the game that is rare in other grand strategy games. Customization. Customizing civilizations, leaders, maps, Whole scenarios, events in these scenarios, etc, etc...

This, i think is a very good thing. The only bad thing about this, is that the game focuses more on the custom creative aspect than the realistic grand strategy one. This mod is going to be an overhaul for both these things.

Unfortunately, a mod with the same goals named Addon+ is being created right now. My mod is still in a Debug alpha phase, and i can't release it in a state like this.

This mod will include the following list of things:

    Translated Loading Screens

The Great War (World War I) With historical events, leaders and custom civilizations, starting in 1st of January, 1914. (I've started doing it, The events are halfway done!)

Overhauling the World War II Scenario in the following ways:
    Adding historical events with descisions.

Setting an other start time for the Scenario for better readiness.

Giving More corresponding bonuses to leaders given by their personality.

Scenario "Die Folge" (The aftermath) happening right after the first world war, (Yes, believe it or not, lots of stuff happened after the first world war) containing a variety of events.

Scenario "A Modern Mona Lisa" Containing the events of mostly Hitler taking control over germany (1920-1930). If you want to play as a country, that is falling apart at the moment, this is for you.

A Cold War Scenario is also being made, but i'm not promising anything for this one.

Including a large variety of backgrounds, from a realistic one with every little mountain on earth, to a low resolution one for computers that can't handle the mod that good.

    Government, ideologies:

From the leftist Communism the the Extreme right Fascism there are an estimate of ~15 ideologies being made right now including governments that are only avalible on 1 country in real life, or none anymore such as Patriotism (Hungary) Democratic Republic, Deposit Monarchy, so on and so forth. Planning on creating an election system for democratic countries just like in Hearts of Iron IV.

Yes, every Scenario, Custom Leader, Loading screen and such will be translated into other*1 languages.

    Custom Maps:

Custom Maps will be added to the mod, with custom scenarios, so people can create something new on a new map. Current map plans include Hungary, Austria, Germany, Washington, Nagykanizsa, Hungary, Budapest, Hungary, The map of Graz and Pangea.

Of course, if we make scenarios, we need to make sure, that we have good leaders for each scenario. From a Revolutionary Gavrillo Princip to an alternative timeline Franz Ferdinand, there will be as much leaders as possible.

    Thank you for reading!

Current Status: Started with V0.0.2.8 on 3rd of October 2019

-There will be lots of new stuff in the game, as we just decompiled it. These new system include:

-More types of Vassals (Dominion, Colony, Crown Colony, State, Soviet Socialist State, etc, etc...)

-Democratic elections all four years, if the country is: Democratic, Republic, City State, Patriotism

-Ideological support system (See: hearts of iron 4) as you do your actions

-Changing the values of terrains, planning before war nescessary

-Adding seasons, each one having it's own effects on attacks, income and happiness

    -Adding religions

*1: Other: This mod will not be translated to all languages, as that would be pretty hard to make.

If you want to help me create the mod, Just connect the discord server here: https://discord.gg/Pe6Pkmn

As this mod won't be translated to all languages, there will be any way to translate it by myself? (like the bundle.properties file of the game)

If i translate the entire game, would you feature it in the game?

Could you please upload a .zip file instead a .exe? it is the way even esaier

  7. Trying to help:

Important bugs to be fixed that probably everyone knows:

If you speed up the game too much the game glitches and dies with a black screen.

Also the names move to an upper position by the same way.

If you offer military access to a civilization that's at war against you will run over you but you won't. (I don't see the offer military acces option very useful idk)

September goes before August (in the game)

In some point of the game, when therelations with a country reaches 0, it will mantain in 0 the rest of the game.

The countries you create won't be added in "age of civilizations" mode (not important but everyone knows this)

    Bugs that happened to me:

when i move the position of the port the game breaks for ever (need to reset).

Sometimes rebels becomes a civilization called literally rebels and on every turn (sometimes two or simply stays) changes. I don't know how to produce it. Usually happens when i use the spectator mode.

When you share an enemy with someone and this someone has troops in your land, if the enemy attack theese troops they will simple disappear. this also happens against two enemies that are at war with you. only the troops of the civilization that hosts the province will defend.

I'll update this list through time.

When a province is colonized, it shows on the right side of the screen, but if the name is too long will only write the end of it's name

A new "Great War" has started on the discord over some city pictures, so I decided to make a registry for the wars, and their respective victors

    Participants: @Shiite, @Lonathan, @ITurkishmapping, @($Jake$)

Before I start on this Mod i need to ask a few questions from experienced modders, I think that AoC2 has a lot of potential, do any of you forsee whether any of the following problems will be unworkable in the game?

I was always a big fan of a few board games that are crying out to be resurrected on the PC, these being Kingmaker, Empires of the Middle Ages and Blood Royale.

    So here is the outline....

1 - Instead of Immortal rulers (which seems to be the case in the game) why not just use the ruling families name instead in other words Wittelsbach instead of Maximillian II etc... no more immortal leader, merely a continuation of the ruling house?

2 - The colouring of regions, instead of the generic racial definitions why not mark areas that 'could' be united and players could dominate them (by achieving superiority in those regions) to form real countries (for example by owning all of the key areas in Britain you 'could' create the Kingdoms of England (or Scotland in the north / wales in the west etc) or even 'ahistorical potential kingdoms (like making a Burgundian kingdom with elements of France, Germany and the low countries).

3 - Taking into account points 1 & 2 the player states could be named after the ruling family or indeed the local areas they hold... so in effect England, at game start could be called (possibly bad examples) Northumbria under the Percy House, Lancaster (Plantagenets), York (also the Plantagenets, albeit a rival branch of the family) etc etc...

4 - Events - Dynastic unions, Leader dies heirless, famines, revolts, civil wars, etc etc

5 - Key areas could be placed that, upon capture grant new titles to the owner (all players could start as Counts, having taken say 3 or so areas become Dukes, and all of the key areas in a region King etc). So no more Monarchies, rather something else which it based n a real feudal pyramid of power.... Count, Duke, King, Emperor etc etc.

4 - For non christian (or competing types of christians, orthodox etc etc)areas the same could be applied using appropriate titles specific to those areas.

Of course in history many families owned lands in more than one region (kingdom) which would allow them to develop power bases across the globe (well Europe and the Middle east at least)

I'm reasonably certain that  the system will allow this, I just need confirmation.

    Related questions

Is there an upper limit to the number of states allowed?

Can the current flags be replaced with a shield icon? (not a deal breaker)

Lastly, can you add any suggestions please?

Also can anyone explain to me how the Holy Roman empire in the 1440 scenario works because I havent figured it out yet lol.

    Thanks for reading

The limit of civilisations is determined by the number of provinces the map has. If you are meaning the top limit of creable countroes... well i don't know but if there is one you can do the dinasties the way political forms are made.

I don't know what exactly the holy roman empire does but if you maake a scenario after saving you can define its extension.

    Some wrong things I found

    •  turkmenabat magdanly and gazojak belongs to turkmenistan
    • termez belongs to uzbekhstan
    • jalalabad belongs to afghanistan
    • what happened to carribean islands?
    • and u should try to make countries yourself because some countries are named kingdoms even if they're not(like sicily)but there will be problems about translation..
    • merbau is empty(its next to indonesia)

Just released a new update. all these problems are fixed except the country names. maybe next time. i want to focus on cores.

    • You should add east turkestan(in china)
    • Kurdistan is not that big(but its in Iraq too)
    • You should add south azerbaijan too
    • You should add Turkic autonomous countries(all in Russia) such as
    1.  Dagestan,
    2. Bashkortostan Autonomous Republic,
    3. Autonomous Republic of Cuvashia,
    4. Hakasya Autonomous Republic,
    5. Yakutia,
    6. Balkar Autonomous Republic,
    7. Altay Autonomous Republic,
    8.  Republic of Tuva.

Thnak you so much for the photo of the map, i don't know why I can't do one. I'll use it if you don't care about.

About east turkestan I studied about it and the desire for independence is very minoritary.

I will go over the kurdish boarders to fix them.

Never listened about soth azerbaijan, thankyou for the sugggestion.

About the russian republics, almost none of them has a desire of independence an add them all is a mistake since i should also break the other federations of the world like Brazil or the US. Anyway i will look about.

I have also other fixes (for tomorrow) like including vermont, filling Cuba and Barbados and Galápagos (part of Ecuador).

If you really want to play with the countries you said you can do it by yourself by editing the map with the editor

Have fun and a nice day!
