  1. Now I working for my AoC2 Europe map, that have more provinces than Bloody Europe! If you're not so pacient on taking diplomacy with everyone and likes war as this game is dedicated, welcome, this post may help you with some war tactics on this game 1 - Let them attack: first of all, if you build a good defense against a weaker and smaller nation (Example: China vs North Korea) Let them attack until their economies are struggled, (this may be noticed if they attack with less troops), then after all the attacks, strike violently against the enemy and win the war with low resistance. 2 - Don't be sieged: NEVER let any enemy siege your army, it may makes it without supplies and weaken army, you may lose alot of troops, that is not glorious and the enemy may push back against you, also do sieges against strong armies of like 2000+ soldiers to weaken the enemy. 3 - Allies: Allies are the cherry of the cake in this game, with allies together both of you can beat a stronger nation (example Camboja and Laos vs Thailand) they also have a nice force that may help you alot in battle, also if your army is completely destroyed, your ally can still hold the positions when you're recovering your army, i've used this tactic alot of times and worked pretty well. 4 - You're never overprepared: Thinking that you're overprepared for any war can be some kind of illusion, (don't think like you can't take luxembourg with 70000 troops, please) this game is a box of surprises that can destroy you some time (example: 3 nations may declare war at you at the same turn), you need to have absolute trust that you're going to take that country. 5 - Have a good economy: To have a good army, you need first to have a very well developed economy, so you can still be stabilized with an enormous army spending, this may help you to recover the army in case of emergencies, if not have a good economy, VERY HIGH CHANCE of your treasure be negative and you lose cause you can't rebuild the army. 6 - Armoury and Supply camps: NEVER forget about these 2 buildings, they ABSOLUTELY are important for your wars: Armoury: Basically troops become cheaper, very good for builds of enormous armies Supply Camps: Very important if you're invading a big country (Example: invading russia) Thank you all for the attention, Hope i helped you alot, if you got any extra tips, comment it, it may help new players to get good at this kinda complicated game. - Yetaloz

The economy is the most important thing in Age of civilization 2, without it you couldn't even build up an army to invade other countries or even defend yourself for bigger threats, in this post ill be showing you how to stabilize a prosperous economy in ANY kind of country. (Notice that ill be playing as luxembourg in this tutorial) 1 - Taxes, and spending: One notable thing on taxes is that you can be putting it 1 little more to the acceptable tax and still not loose happiness, good to be winning some tips like 3 - 19 which is good for me. Also set every spending at its minimum (in future we may do some changes). 2 - Technology points: A very obvious decision for a better economy, i suggest to you be spending more in (Economy growth and income production, also put some in the rest). 3 - Development: Development is the cherry of the cake talking about economy, the development defines how much less unneployment you have in your nation, with more jobs rising, more gold you will get, all due to yhe investiment on development. So, keep investing alot in development in all provinces ultil it reaches the maximum capacity (defined by technology level). 4 - Buildings: Building Workshops is a pretty good way to be getting more money, they add up to 5% more income producton (in other levels 10% and 15%), Also building librarys is good to have more technology points and level, (more useful to the 2nd and 3rd tips). 5 - REEEE at economy: For last, REEEEEE all your money on economy, expending thousands on it, your economy will explode like a nuclear bomb in some turns. 6 - Other tips: Keep in mind to be upgrading your economy buildings such as the workshop and the library to get more technology points. BEFORE ALL this publication will be the same as the one in the Banners section, I will paste it here because this is the TUTORIALS section, do not accuse me of spam xD This is not spam I put it in tutorials because in the Banners section, not many people see it Hi, How are you? I'm going to teach you how to create a flag for your created nation (REQUIREMENTS) Any Photoshop Version, I recommend CS6 or later versions, First of all we create our nation in The game editor. In Editor - Create A Civilization - Create New Civilization OK, Now We Create Our Civilization The main thing is the name In Where It Says NAME We Write The Name Of Our Nation In My Case Potato With Cheese  The Next Is The Color We Precised The Button That Tells Civilization Color, We Select The Main Color Of The Nation In My Case I Will Select The Orange Because My Nation Is A Potato xD Now we select the service list option, the list of service are as achievements by conquered provinces, we have a few models, we select the model, and we choose the color, in my case orange and white  Ok The Flag No Ay That to Edit it Equals the Color that Has, And we keep the Nation Now we can close the game, Generally, the folder is on this route C:\Program Files (x86)\ Steam\steamapps\common\ Age Of Civillizations 2 At least Asi I enter the game folder, At least that's how I enter the game folder.  Ok Inside the folder called Age Of Civilizations 2, we enter the folder GAME Once inside we look for the folder called civilizations_editor and enter it A Data, Our newest Civilization Created Always Will be the last folder We enter the folder and look for the last folder We enter the last Folder and you will find 2 PNG Photos, To verify that our nation is created Let's double click on one of the 2 photos The flag must be the same as the default If It Is The Same Flag We Select THE 2 PHOTOS AND We Send It To The Desk Now Open Photoshop If they are good in Fotoshop they are edited alone, but as I am Manco Download a picture of a potato in Google for My Potato-Nation The Measures Must Be IN PIXELS IS IMPORTANT There are 2 Flags For That There Are Two Measures The Big One, 68 Wide, And 44 High, IN PIXELS Then In Photoshop We Give It In, File - New, The Background Content Has To Be White, And We Added The Pixels, 68 Wide And 44 High, Here The Sample Now We Select, File - Place And We Search The Photo Or Edit Above The White, When we place the image, we have to adjust it well Once Placed We Precede The Enter Key, It Will Be Blurred But In The Game It Will Be In 4K I Will Promise You 😉 Now Open the Option, File - Save, VERY IMPORTANT SAVE AS A PNG PHOTO IF NOT, WILL NOT DETECT THE PHOTO We already have the first flag, if you put a photo, it is the same procedure to edit the small flag, (RECOGNIZE THAT YOU HAVE DIFFERENT PIXELS) If you edited the big flag well, When we created the workspace for the small flag we will place the big flag  Measurements of the Small Flag, 27 Wide, 18 High, IN PIXELS And place the photo, or if the great flag is edited, we place the big flag. In my case I will reposition the photo of the potato to have more quality  The small flag is more pixelated than the big one And we keep the flag as a type of PNG photo I finish the difficult part It should be like that We Copy The Name of the Original File Now If we want Eliminate the Ancient Flag Beware The Name Of The Big Original Banner It has to be stuck on the big flag created by us And we paste in our new flag We do the same procedure with the small flag.   6. How to edit AoH2 java code? How to decompile it without mistakes, like smali? I tried decompiling, bytecode and smali, so I found only smali working (but only for changing variables...) Help plz, I know that many guys such as from World Crisis or Bloody History II or Addon 2+ edited code... I know how to edit it, but it is very uncomfortable, so if nobody tells how to do it in another way, then I tell my experience...

  10. Steps: 1. Download Map editor. 2. Clear all data. 3. Copy/Create bg.png (background for your map) 4. Create province. 5. Copy first province into new folder (Province is called PROV, and move it into folder that will be containing all provinces) 6. Rename your first province to 0 (second to 1 etcetera) 7. In game map folder (steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\map) copy template (and rename it), and clear "cities" folder. 8. Copy your provinces into update, \data\provinces (I'm not sure if you need to copy it into provinces folder, but It works too :P) 9. Edit config.json(in copied template folder) and change values: { Map: [ { MapName: "%Mapname%", Author: "%Yournickname%", BackgroundName: "%bgname%", ContinentsPackage: "Earth6" RegionsPackage: "Earth_AoC2", NumberOfProvinces: %numberofprovinces%, MapScale: 3, WorldMap: true, Scenario: "testScenario", Wiki: "Wikipedia:Unusual_articles" }, ], Age_of_Civilizations: Map } 10. Could Anyone Help Me how to change an civilization name when they change their ideology? like example:i played as bulgaria then i want to change my government to monarchy,however i also want to change the name to the "bulgarian empire" but not by TAPPING the flag then change bulgaria's name but by permanent so its like when poland change its government to communism they will change their name to "Polish People's Republic" Could Anyone Explain How? 😩

  20. Чем-же отличается страна с тегом, спросите вы? Я отвечу: В отличии от кастомной страны, тут вы можете дать другие флаги, другое название стране при другой форме правления. Также локализировать страну страну на другой язык если вы хотите видеть свой мод и на, допустим, английском. Сперва нужно нам сделать следующие действия: Редактор>Редактор игры>Игровые цивилизации>Добавить цивилизацию. Дальше вписываем тег из 3-4 букв (важно: нужно вписывать тег, не занятый уже существующими странами) Также можем изменить цвет цивилизации. Сохраняем. Отлично, новая страна создана, теперь осталось дать стране локализацию и флаг. Разъясняю как добавить локализацию: Сперва добавим локализацию на Русский. Переходим по пути Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\game\Languages\Civilizations и открываем файл Bundle_ru.properties с помощью, допустим, Notepad++. Теперь вписываем сам тег, и после него ставим =, и после него название страны. Если хотим сделать локализацию для английского, то заходим в Bundle.properties. Разъясняю как добавить флаг: Переходим в Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\flags. Там делаем файл с названием тега, и с форматом png. Делаем сам флаг с размером 27x18 в paint и сохраняем. Потом переходим в Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\flagsH. Там повторяем сделанное в прошлой папке, но уже тут не делаем по 4 прозрачных точки по углам. Сохраняем флаг с размером 68x44. А теперь если мы хотим что-бы был другой флаг при, например, фашизме, то создаем новый флаг по тем же параметрам, и к названию добавляем _f. А если для локализации, то вписываем в файле локализации тег_f = название. Теперь заходим в игру и проверяем. Результат на лицо. Это перезалив гайда на форум.   23. Short tutorial that should help out with capitulation events. City Capturing First, make sure you have it so that it can begin at the start of your Scenario, and the 5000 date. (Longest possible date) Now, make sure your triggers look like this: <Country> Exists (The receiver of the event.) Provinces occupied (The province you'll want to occupy) if you do everything right, it should look like this: Now, after this, make sure the official capitulation event (if you're doing the multiple city occupation route) has all of the <City> Is ours decisions to work. Ex: Civilization Exists: <Civ> Decision taken: <City> Is ours! (Multiple can work) If it works, it should look like this: (If you just want instant capitulation, just follow the first step.) And that is how to make capitulation events.
  24. This did work in some of my tests. (I deleted the save, then added it back, and it worked!) ALL STEPS! First, go to saves, next go to games. Next, you'll want to go the the map that your save is in. For example, if i have a good save i want to share in the Europe map, i'll pick the Europe folder. After that, i recommend removing saves that you no longer play. This will make the next step easier. Go to the folder of your save. (If you removed other saves, you'll go into the Age_of_Civilizations file so it'll be easier to find, & to make sure it's your save, go to the .JSON file, it'll have your civ's tag.) Now that you have it, copy & paste it into a new folder. if you have someone else's save, copy the name of the folder, and paste in into the Age_of_Civilizations file. Example: The Folder's name is 1635659856454ozvyiaxw, so i'll add it in the Age_of_Civilizations file like so: (Other Save);1635659856454ozvyiaxw; And that's how you do it. (You can do it with removed scenarios as well, but removed civs may cause some issues.)
