    How to create map (Step by step)

    Steps: 1. Download Map editor. 2. Clear all data. 3. Copy/Create bg.png (background for your map) 4. Create province. 5. Copy first province into new folder (Province is called PROV, and move it into folder that will be containing all provinces) 6. Rename your first province to 0 (second to 1 etcetera) 7. In game map folder (steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\map) copy template (and rename it), and clear "cities" folder. 8. Copy your provinces into update, \data\provinces (I'm not sure if you need to copy it into provinces folder, but It works too :P) 9. Edit config.json(in copied template folder) and change values: { Map: [ { MapName: "%Mapname%", Author: "%Yournickname%", BackgroundName: "%bgname%", ContinentsPackage: "Earth6" RegionsPackage: "Earth_AoC2", NumberOfProvinces: %numberofprovinces%, MapScale: 3, WorldMap: true, Scenario: "testScenario", Wiki: "Wikipedia:Unusual_articles" }, ], Age_of_Civilizations: Map } 10. Rembmer to create background files with name %bgname%_L and %bgname%_R 11. go back to map folders and add line to make game read that map: { Map: [ { Folder: "Earth" }, { Folder: "Ashan" }, { Folder: "Earth_AoC1" }, { Folder: "Kepler" }, { Folder: "template" }, { Folder: "%mapname%" }, ], Age_of_Civilizations: Maps } 12.     How to install Maps

    This tutorial have been created from The European Map, but the install of the maps is the same process.     Buying Provinces?

    So I'm having troubles understanding how to buy provinces from other countries in the game. I've read in multiple places that you can't buy cores from countries, but for example, the highlighted provinces owned by Brazil are all considered cores, correct? Does that mean someone has to conquer those provinces, and then I can trade for them before a core is established, or am I just misunderstanding something?
  6. At first - this is not an ad in any way. So this post was created as a small ease of access know-how that i use to automate region saving excluding Alt-tabbing all the way, by automating i mean: Automate "PROV" file renaming and moving to your provinces folder To start you need install File Juggler https://www.filejuggler.com/download/filejuggler.exe After the installation Run File Juggler and open "Rules" tab, find and click "Add" button there In the newly created tab in "Monitor" choose your AOC_map_editor In "If" find and click "Add condition" (+) button, set everything to "File name"-"Contains"-"Text" and in the blank field type "PROV" In "Then" do the same "Add condition" (+) button twice In the first "Then" field choose "Move file to" and in blank choose your "AOC_map_editor\editor_data\provinces" folder As a second rule choose "Rename file" and click "Variables", in the new window open "Custom date and time" - "Created" and click "Insert". In the window pick the date and time format you want, my proposition is using Month-Day-Hour\24-Minute-Second variable, it is caused by the amount of time you might spend creating your masterpiece (Not talking month, but you never know) I hope that it will make your life as a creator a little bit easier.

    Чем-же отличается страна с тегом, спросите вы? Я отвечу: В отличии от кастомной страны, тут вы можете дать другие флаги, другое название стране при другой форме правления. Также локализировать страну страну на другой язык если вы хотите видеть свой мод и на, допустим, английском. Сперва нужно нам сделать следующие действия: Редактор>Редактор игры>Игровые цивилизации>Добавить цивилизацию. Дальше вписываем тег из 3-4 букв (важно: нужно вписывать тег, не занятый уже существующими странами) Также можем изменить цвет цивилизации. Сохраняем. Отлично, новая страна создана, теперь осталось дать стране локализацию и флаг. Разъясняю как добавить локализацию: Сперва добавим локализацию на Русский. Переходим по пути Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\game\Languages\Civilizations и открываем файл Bundle_ru.properties с помощью, допустим, Notepad++. Теперь вписываем сам тег, и после него ставим =, и после него название страны. Если хотим сделать локализацию для английского, то заходим в Bundle.properties. Разъясняю как добавить флаг: Переходим в Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\flags. Там делаем файл с названием тега, и с форматом png. Делаем сам флаг с размером 27x18 в paint и сохраняем. Потом переходим в Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\flagsH. Там повторяем сделанное в прошлой папке, но уже тут не делаем по 4 прозрачных точки по углам. Сохраняем флаг с размером 68x44. А теперь если мы хотим что-бы был другой флаг при, например, фашизме, то создаем новый флаг по тем же параметрам, и к названию добавляем _f. А если для локализации, то вписываем в файле локализации тег_f = название. Теперь заходим в игру и проверяем. Результат на лицо. Это перезалив гайда на форум.     How to Add Economy into AOCII

    How I Found This Feature I was making a mod where there was real world alliances. While doing this I realized that NATO was way too OP! I decided to go on a journey to find how to make countries like, Russia and China stronger. I figured out some things without help but was never able to share this in which a update deleted my mod. A few weeks later I come to this cite to share my wonderful information to the hungry and desiring community that likes timelaspes! Tutorial 1. Go to "Events" on the main editor page. 2. Add a new event and do whatever recipient you want. 3. change to starting date to whatever date you want (if you want it to start instantly in-game. 4. Go to "Triggers" and click on "If Civilization Exist's" then click on any civilization that is currently in the scenario. 5. Go to "Outcome" and scroll down to economy. Do any country you want and scroll the economy anything you want it to be. 6. Add the provinces you want the economy to be in. 7. Go back and press "Save Event".     So today i will explain how to make a secure alliance with (almost) any country, this is a recopilation of all the data i've been sharing in the Reddit and the Discord, so here we go!
