    Hey man, fellow mod developer of this overall dead game. Honestly if one dude mass disliked your posts, that shouldn't get such reaction from you, especially since people were waiting for this and had expectation. You should generally expect people to act in a way you, for some reason, don't like in any place on the internet. Nobody should let the game die for that (starting from the point that the game is overall dead anyways). You did a good job and your projects were interesting. A shame they ended like that.

    Remember how AoC2 was pretty popular and caught a lot of attention at release? You can bring this game back to life! More updates = more players, look at No Mans Sky comeback.

    Honestly, the reason I'm retired is more than that. It's my loss of interest in modding. It's my lack of time and failure to keep up with demand. It's my inability to stay afloat when mods like Conquerors and TSGW reign supreme. I just don't think I've released something that's worth releasing. And when you're dealing with a dying game riddled with bugs and inaccuracies, you have to ask yourself: Is anything worth releasing for this? And my answer: Not anymore. So yeah, that's why this community will never see a mod from me again. Maybe a scenario or two, but that's as far as I'm going from here on out.

    Trigger AND: the conditions must ALWAYS be true. You can see it as "YES or "TRUE". In a event, every condition marked with AND must always happen in order for the event to trigger.
    Trigger NOT: the conditions marked must be false in order for an event to trigger. If the condition is, for example, "X nation is at war", then the event will trigger if X nation is NOT at war.
    Trigger OR: this one is surprisingly less common if you are going to make many events. It means that either A or B conditions, for example, must be true. As I said I'm not 100% experienced in the use of this one since I really never had the need, as a person that makes somewhat complex event mechanics in scenarios.
    EXAMPLES:
    You want to make an event that, given the lack of Farm buildings present in one region, proposes the player a larhe investment in return for a discounted large scale farm building. This means that the event must trigger if the desired region has no farms and the player has enough money
    The conditions must be then:
    -Buildings in provinces (farm) NOT
    All the desired provinces are selected.
    -Nation has money (say, 50000) AND
    As you can see the event triggers if the player doesn't have any farms on the selected provinces and the player has enough money. This event would use both AND, NOT. Keep in mind that these are not the actual exact names of the conditions since I really don't remember them, I would have to check out.
    Any questions feel free to ask! I have experience with the event editor.

    Me gusta mucho la idea de un escenario fant√°stico. A pesar de las herramnientas que trae el juego, no hay muchos escenarios fant√°sticos. Jugar con naciones nunca antes vistas suena interesante. Te deseo lo mejor!

    Bastante tiempo ha transcurrido desde la √ļltima actualizaci√≥n p√ļblica. He decidido que, en vez de publicar cada vez que tenga una actualizaci√≥n grande, voy a publicar avances m√°s peque√Īos, individuales, con el fin de mantener el inter√©s en el proyecto.

    Amazonas impasable
    Una nueva mecánica hecha con tan sólo dos eventos permite bloquear la región del amazonas. Esto es para que, en una guerra entre Brasil y otro país, sea imposible mover unidades por la región, tal como en la vida real donde sería impensable ejecutar operaciones a través de esta zona. En el juego, siempre que Brasil esté en guerra, las provincias del amazonas que hacen de frontera con otros países se convierten en baldíos. Mientras Brasil no esté en guerra, no lo serán.


    (Jugando con Ecuador, estoy en guerra con Brasil. Las provincias del amazonas que hacen de frontera se convierten en bald√≠os. Es imposible mover unidades a trav√©s de ella, por lo que la √ļnica opci√≥n es pasar alrededor, o realizar una invasi√≥n naval)

    (Brasil no está en guerra, las provincias no son baldíos)

    Esto se realiza con dos eventos: uno que sirva para bloquear las provincias siempre que Brasil esté en guerra, y otro que las desbloquee cuando no lo esté. Además, se utiliza un "banco de datos" (civilización no jugable sólo utilizada para hacer eventos) y la comprobación de baldíos fuera del mapa jugable (estos son "trucos" más complejos del editor de eventos, los cuales explicaré en un manual sobre el mod).

    Con esta mecánica, el mapa cobra "vida" pues se le asigna un valor estratégico que en el juego base no existía: restricciones geográficas.

    Proyecto Historia del Sur
    Historia del Sur es un proyecto en desarrollo,¬†un escenario que toma lugar en los a√Īos 1950 en Sudam√©rica, en pleno ascenso de la Guerra Fr√≠a.
    El proyecto tiene como enfoque sacar provecho de todas las herramientas que trae el editor y el juego, y a la vez, ser un escenario simple, es decir, que puedas jugar con tus mods favoritos sin que haga conflicto con éstos.
    Características principales del mod:
    - Muchos eventos: el escenario contará con lineas de eventos para todas las naciones de Sudamérica, tanto históricas como alternativas, de modo que puedas escribir una Historia diferente en cada partida.
    - Reducci√≥n de guerras y enfoque en econom√≠a y gesti√≥n:¬†AoC2 es un juego de conquista, pero gracias a eventos, se puede desviar un poco este aspecto y centrarse en otros aspectos propios de la Guerra Fr√≠a, como la diplomacia y la econom√≠a. Las naciones no se declarar√°n guerras injustificadas apenas empezando la partida y si t√ļ lo haces, habr√°n consecuencias graves, as√≠ que aseg√ļrate de que tu pueblo apoyar√° tus campa√Īas.
    -Cambios de ideología y sistema de guerras civiles: gracias a un nuevo sistema hecho con eventos, los cambios de ideología y gobierno no se realizarán simplemente presionando un botón, sino que tendrás que ganar guerras civiles, golpes de estado, o esperar a las elecciones. Algunas ideologías llevan a resultados muy interesantes, haciendo de este aspecto algo importante en el escenario.
    -L√≠neas hist√≥ricas y alternativas:¬†cada partida ser√° una experiencia nueva ya que¬†tanto t√ļ como la computadora¬†pueden elegir entre decisiones hist√≥ricas o alternativas en los eventos. Crea una nueva Historia de la Guerra Fr√≠a en el continente, en cada partida.
    Progreso del mod: el mod está en desarrollo y las actualizaciones se publican en formas de "diarios del desarrollador", así que estate atento de las respuestas de este post para ver los avances del proyecto.

    ¬°Gracias! S√≠, para que cada naci√≥n tenga tal mec√°nica tendr√≠a que hacerse¬†un evento para cada guerra civil de cada ideolog√≠a de cada pa√≠s, por lo que te puedes imaginar que son bastantes eventos. Sin embargo cuando compart√≠ esa mec√°nica ten√≠a una idea muy diferente de c√≥mo progresar√≠a la partida: en aquel entonces apostaba por un sistema muy abierto, los jugadores avanzaban en la historia mediante eventos vagamente conectados entre s√≠. Ahora el sistema es muy diferente, m√°s lineal, el jugador selecciona qu√© tipo de historia ("ruta hist√≥rica") de su pa√≠s quiere jugar. Por lo que, una guerra civil por ejemplo, ya no ser√≠a activada de la misma manera como mostr√© en esa mec√°nica, a voluntad del jugador. Ahora se activa seg√ļn se desarrolle la historia. Es lo mismo, excepto en la manera en que se provocan. ¬°Me alegra que te guste el proyecto!
