Israeli leader

Recommended Posts

Isreal is listed in the game as a 'Presidential Republic'. This means that, in the game terms, the president acts as the representative of the country.
In the case of Israel the president is Isaac Herzog. So the leader is correct.

The game chooses leaders based on it's symbolic political status. For example:
the leader of the Netherlands or the UK (as Constitutional Monarchies) are their respective kings, however they don't wield any actual power; so in theory they are not 'leaders' at all.
and comparing for example the 'Presidential Republic' system between the US and Israel; the US president has much more power then the Israeli president.

So in short the chosen 'leader' of the country does not indicate its actual power in leading the country, but more so its symbolic political status.

The game is still wrong in that case, because Israel is a Parliamentary republic.

They have a president though. And since he is the head of the state, he is shown as the leader. Look him up Herzog is a real guy who is really the President.

I know he is a real guy I am from Israel, but the president of Israel isn't the head of state. Israel is a parliamentary republic, so the head of state is the Prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
