Turns take too long to load.

I'm playing with Bloody Europe II mod, which greatly increases the number of provinces, at the cost of limiting the entire map to only Europe. I also have VSync off and antialiasing set to 2. Whenever I skip a turn it takes a couple of seconds to load everything. Is there a way to minimize or get rid of this delay? It's really annoying.
