help with background

so i added a background map but for some reason the countries look super big and misplaced? help

Errors like this can occur if you are trying to place a modified vanilla age of history 2 background into a mode with more provinces than vanilla age of history 2.

i see now, i did add provinces, is there any way to fix this?

You need to make a background according to your number of provinces.

oh wait no i understand, though i replaced the original background, this isnt a new map (dont worry i have the original backgrounds in backup)

You can change this.

Let me explain it like this.

You have drawn the states on this map:

You need to make your background on this map.

If you assign the vanilla aoh2 background to your mod it will give an error.
