I need help with the map editor! (sea provinces)

so i wanna split the top and bottom one of these in the carribean but i cant figure out how i would do it, i tried doing it once but it just turns the provinces into big squares!can anyone help out?

just split them as you did before and use this button right in the map editor inside the game editors.
that should fix the problem



left click to erase
right click to add stuff

and the rest of the buttons are quite self-explainatory.
(r and u keys will just return your province to the big square, so think about them as a "reset" button)

why the caribbean provinces are big squares? for mobile players' convenience.

i see what you are saying but i cant really figure out what exactly i need to do, i go to edit the province background and i use left click but nothing happens, it just draws and when i exit out it stays but it doesnt update the province , and when i click right click it just zooms me in and out

one question though, my coastal provinces have a -1 instead of a 0, is that bad

never figured out what it really does. but i never topped into a bug because of that, so it might be fine.
