Troops crossing uncolonized terrain

In the same play in Australia, someone declared war to me (another tribe) and their troops just passed through all uncolonized land and attacked me.

I'm pretty sure that's intended. It wouldn't make sense to not be able to move into unclaimed land. Who's gonna stop you? The trees?

So they would in just some hours cut all the trees, rocks, mountains, without food, water, and get in my borders? 😭🙏

i tink that is a game mechanic. But I would like it would be like Victoira II that some troops die in the journey or that the troops wear out.
