hi, can anyone help me as to why nations that literally just invaded me can suddenly peace out and prevent me from attacking them after i defeat them in combat? how can i stop this?

As far as I've seen during play, it goes like this. If you are winning by 25 percent or more, you are allowed to whitepeace. If you win a battle, but they still occupy land, they are allowed to whitepeace and you cannot refuse because of how peace deals currently work. Basically, they still have enough warscore because of occupation that they're allowed to white peace and you can't do anything because battles are undervalued (if they are valued at all?) in the warscore equation. There is a glitch also from what I've seen in gameplay where if you are losing by more than 25 percent you can also whitepeace.
