NormusNibe 17 Posted October 30, 2024 I've made a scenario where me and my friends have each made a civilization and placed them randomly around the map. As the scenario plays out, and no matter for how long I leave it going, the civilizations never colonize Oceania or many islands besides a few in the Mediterranean. I've made each nation a single province all in the Americas, Eurasia, or Africa to see how they expand their borders. Before I added countries in the Americas, the AI seemed to ignore that too and would never colonize any provinces there. It looks like the civilizations only go after certain regions if there is already a nation there. Here are some examples of a few areas the civilizations never go to, despite leaving this scenario on spectator for a long time at the fastest speed. NormusNibe 17 Posted October 30, 2024 This applies to other scenarios too. This is a screenshot from the 1066 scenario after I left it on. There are no countries in Papua new Guinea or Greenland in the default scenario, and the civilizations never colonized there. Brunoo1103 1 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) On gameValues/AI/AI_values.json There is some parameters to change the distance of colonization Other explanation about greenland is that maybe AI does not see any value there, since its a very bad economy and infrastructre COLONIZE_PROVINCES_LIMIT_SEA COLONIZE_OVER_SEA_CHANCE Edited November 1, 2024 by Brunoo1103
Ilovethisgame2 813 Posted November 7, 2024 I think they only colonise bordering provinces.
