The game won't start

Hello,

I've bought the game (Age of Civilizations II) on steam today, but when I wanna start the screen flashes beetween black and gray and after few seconds I see just the steam launcher but not the game.

Here are my system information:

processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50Ghz

Ram: 4,00 GB

and OpenGL 3.1

 

Where is the error?

That has happened to me sometimes with new games.i know this is a stupid question but have you turned your PC off and on again?
