null 32 Posted March 27, 2024 (edited) The same mechanics as religions. Every civilisation and every province has culture. If a province has a different culture than civilization, it will cause debuffs of the province. Civilisation can assimilate province. In the future ages, culture can be transformed into a nation. Something similar is already in the game, but it’s strictly tied to one civilisation, and every civilisation that has captured the provinces must assimilate them, no matter what civilisation they were rejected. The idea is that several civilisations can belong to the same culture. Thus, when capturing provinces with their culture, the provinces will not need assimilation. Wayne23lololh 1,645 Posted March 28, 2024 If there are no cultures, there must be a irredentism system, with each country having clams at others, so there are more likely to go to war with, to gain some land include in their irredentism, another thing to prevent border gore. Land included in irredentism has cores of country ( may be hard to understand, it's like Hungary had claims in Romania, these claims have Hungarian cores, so don't need to assimilate. There could have several levels unlocked by ideologies: Level 1 : democracy, monarchy, constitutional monarchy, republic, communism Level 2 : Communism, (socialism), fascism, monarchy, constitutional monarchy, Level 3 : Fascism, (nationalism) No level : Horde Example : It's an another thing to prevent border gore. Opportunity to core province alredy exist in AOC2 and works like you adding a citizens of your country in some non country province.
