POLANDjapan 38 Posted April 13, 2024 (edited) Forts fort icon on map, basically anything that on map shows what are the best provinces to attack without clicking them all. To not make mess on map such icon could be seen only for forts that are in your country and enemy country in war, so if let's say Sweden (player) and Muscovy are in peace, player won't see Muscovy's fort icons on map but if they're in war player will see them. Imperial Authority Mechanic that'd block and let the emperor to embrace HRE reforms, it'd be a number from 0 to 100. With imperial authority of at least 50 it'd be possible to embrace reform at full cost, every 1 IA above it would grant player 1% discount on embracing HRE reform (50% discount at 100 imperial authority). Low Imperial authority (under 20) could give emperor negative modifiers like lower tax efficiency and manpower gain each month. How could countries gain/lose imperial authority? lose: HRE provinces being owned by country that's not in HRE (-0.1 IA yearly per province) Heretic countries being in HRE (-0.5 IA yearly per country) Conquering provinces that are both in HRE and in HRE member country (instant -0.3 IA per province taken) Losing wars as emperor (instant -10 IA after war) Countries leaving HRE (such option could be unlocked only after meeting certain conditions, leaving would greatly reduce your relations with emperor and give player long (50-100 years) tax income modifier around 5%, this action would reduce emperor's IA by -1 per every HRE province leaving country owned, if it owned 12 emperor will lose 12 IA, if it owned 7 emperor loses 7 IA) gain: Neutrally granted +1 IA every year for nothing +0.2 IA yearly for having good relations with electors (50+ relations) conquering HRE provinces from non-HRE members (+10 instant IA per province) winning wars (against heretics in HRE/outside of HRE) would grant +5 IA instantly Forcing countries into HRE (some HRE reform could unlock such decision in peace treaty for emperor. Only countries neighbouring HRE that are small enough could be forced into HRE, forcing a country into HRE would grant emperor instant +15 IA) Embracing a reform would reduce IA to zero. Exploration I'm suggesting it once again as it kinda hurts to see whole/almost whole world discovered in 1440s by literally every country. Exploration system could be based on exploration unit, such unit would require special type of general, the explorer. Both explorer and exploration unit could be unlocked through certain decisions/laws, exploration unit would be very expensive to maintain but it'd be the only unit allowing country to discover new lands by simply entering them (other units wouldn't be allowed to enter unexplored lands). Unexplored lands could be marked on map in some way like with heavy fog of war or anything of this type that'd cover them so you can't see what's under. If a country (for example Portugal) has found way to America all countries that are in certain close distance from Portugal (Morocco, whole Iberia, eventually France and England) would slowly start seeing provinces explored by Portugal. (For example they'd start seeing 1 province Portugal explored every 10 years if this province explored borders any province they know already). Additionally explorers and explorer units would have chance to die while traveling, the longer in travel the higher chance they'll die soon. Chances of dying on land would be lower than on seas/oceans. I don't know about the forts, but the rest of the ideas are good 👍 thecarvalhogamer
