In-game rivals option

In the "Vassals" video you can see that there are only 16 countries available when selecting rivals
Will it be possible to choose only those countries that are closest to us, so as not to consider a country on the other side of Europe as a rival? I hope so

16 rivals is too many I guess, would be better if there be only 3 rivals like in EU4

What I meant was that you choose 3 rivals, but only from among the 16 countries that the game offers you

I think it's already like that. In that video the 16 civilizations in the list seem to be the closest.
