Fog of Diplomacy

Would it be possible to add a fog of diplomacy as an option aside from fog of war?

That means only we can have diplomatic interaction with only bordering countries. And it could be possible to set some civilization to be like this.

I mean, some tribes will only be able to interact with their neighboring countries, because the Aztec Empire interacting with Spain in 1444 is impossible.

Thank you for clarifying. Sounds logical. Then, in order for some countries to conduct diplomacy only with their neighbors, while others spread their influence over a large space, it will be necessary to introduce diplomatic distance. In theory, it could be more or less depending on technology, the political system, the level of the “embassy court” in the capital, etc.
