Idea for Internal Subdivisions!

This is a small but cool idea that popped up in my head while I was playing AoH2!

How would the feature work?

It would be pretty cool if you were able to add internal subdivisions when playing as a nation in AoH3: It would work similarly to the "release vassal" option in AoH2, meaning that you'd be able to select an already existing civilization, select certain provinces for it and give it a capital city, except that it would register as a subdivision of your nation. Subdivisions would most likely be visible in a special map mode (which would probably just be called "subdivisions").

What's the purpose of it?

The main purpose of this feature is to help with administration, similarly to the "distance from capital" feature (which makes it so that the farther a province is from your capital city, the more the administration cost is gonna be, though administration does depend from other factors too), except that it would make provinces' "distance from capital" depend on the capital of the province's subdivision, instead of the capital of your nation.

Examples:

Modern: The United States and its 50 states (ik it has other territories too), the United Kingdom and its 4 countries (ik it has other territories too again), Russia and all of its federal subjects, etc...

Cold war: The Soviet Union and its 15 republics, Yugoslavia and its 6 republics, etc...

Other: Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Poland and Lithuania and probably more), Kalmar Union (Denmark, Norway and Sweden), Mongol Empire (Yuan, Chagatai, Ilkhanate, Golden Horde), etc...

Woah, your idea is like mine but 10 times more thought-out—

I don't know that much about unitary states, federations, confederations and related matter, it's just a thing I thought about.
