maaaaaybe, i feel like too much cultures cramped in one peninsula s overkill and annoying, especially since a big bonus is that one culture usally covers a wide area, allowing you to not assimilate your own people. so it (kinda) minimizes the fun (ik same culture group cultures dont have to be assimilated) and lukasz wouldn't add them at this point if he's still not really shown them in the game, meaining: making the list as small as possible for now is the best option, but if the feature gets added, i don't see why not you shouldn't add them

in light of my ''i know same culture group cultures dont have to be assimilated'' i came up with an AMAZING IDEA, WHAT IF THERE'S SOME SORT OF LAW OR REFORM (or even nationalist ideology) THAT ALLOWS YOU TO ADOPT AN ENTIRE CULTURAL GROUP LIKE ITALIC, MAKING THEM ALL GIVE ONE EQUAL BONUS, this would be great for 21st century culturally diverse nation states like india, spain or even the latin world

Yes. And I think it's worth adding more sublists of cultures in general.

I will explain my clumsy English: in earlier scenarios in the north of Italy, it is necessary to separately identify the cultures of the Cisalpines, Lombards, Provencals, Toscanese, Veronese...But in later scenarios, only the sculpture of northern Italians will be presented instead.

The more now we add related and narrow types of national identity with their different classifications (such as the early Hungarians this is a Finno-Ugric/Uralic nationality, but the late Hungarians can easily be attributed to a large group of European cultures), the more dynamic and cooler the various scenarios will be.

DUDE YOU MADE A CRUCIAL MISTAKE WITH THE EGYPTIAN CULTURE

 

 

egyptians (unlike most of the arab world) aren't semites or arabs for that matter, i would actually suggest creating a Kemetic Culture family tree for egypt itself and adding into it coptic culture for greek influence, aegyptian culture for roman influence, kemetic for ancient egyptian and misri culture for when the arabs assimilate coptic, augyptus or kemetic, it's a cool concept and definitely makes waay more sense than grouping egyptians with arabs (when cultures are divided based mostly on ethnicity)

not really, cultures from the same continent can be very similar compared to another continent yet so different compared to eachother at the same time, i suggest keeping it because it's keeping things much more ordered and easy to read/understand + it makes sense
