Maccy 2 Posted October 26, 2024 Every time I reload a save, my income increases. Taxation, economy, and production all go up. If you keep saving and reloading, it seems to be effectively an infinite money glitch.
Maccy 2 Posted October 27, 2024 Just wanted to add this did not happen earlier in the campaign, it only started happening at some point. Once active in a campaign, it seems this bug stays, as playing a bit further and saving+loading still increases the income each time (tax, economy, production). Building income like temples btw is not affected. The increase is quite sharp too - I saved and reloaded on the same date several times and my income nearly doubled. I played on to see if my income would go back down to normal after the bug activates, but it did not. The glitched income increase seems permanent. Considering it happens after a point, that makes me think maybe it's either a tech, event or wonder causing it. If it helps at all it's happening with Sassanian Empire in the Fall of Eternal City scenario.
Maccy 2 Posted October 28, 2024 One more update with some further findings. Started a new campaign. Saved and reloaded a bunch of times, tripled my income. So it wasn't just a single campaign that was unluckily affected, this will probably affect every campaign. I've noticed the following: - the amount of population, economy, tax efficiency etc. none of these values are actually going up to increase the income - no province or civilization modifiers are increasing either - upkeep costs aren't decreasing so they aren't responsible either I can only hope this affects other civilizations, so they at least are getting more money too and it doesn't affect just the player. Maccy 2 Posted November 1, 2024 New update - I just managed to play a full campaign without this bug somehow, despite saving and reloading many times. I played the same way as before, the only difference is that this time it was a different scenario (550 BC). I doubt the bug is scenario-specific so hopefully it was was fixed and next campaign will be OK.
