Iceman 295 Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) While Istanbul/Constantinople seems fixed, the same doesn't happen with Volgograd/Sarai. Sometimes in Modern World the name of the province is Sarai, and in 1440 the name is Volgograd. I noticed the following pattern: Open the game > New game > Select 1440 (the name of the province is Sarai) > Go back to Menu > New Game > Select Modern World (the name of the province remains Sarai) > Go back to Menu > New Game > Select 1440 (the name of the province changes to Volgograd) Edited October 29, 2024 by Iceman Łukasz Jakowski
Iceman 295 Posted October 29, 2024 I performed the following test in the scenario editor. First time I assigned province to Poland the name didn't change, but in the second attempt it changed. Łukasz Jakowski
Łukasz Jakowski 13,390 Posted October 29, 2024 Because there is no key for Poland to change from Sarai, there is only from Volgograd. That is the reason why it once worked and not. Marerjh and Dule22 1

I think, you can add second parameter like changing cities names following by date or exact scenarios as extension to current system. I think it can help with fixing bugs as this type and help modders to modify borders more free.

But when switching from Russia to Golden Horde the names changes correctly, and there's no "Sarai=Volgograd" key. But I think this test shows that the keys are working correctly in the scenario editor, but when loading a scenario something happens and it loads as Volgograd in 1440 and vice versa.
