0 Iceman 295 Posted November 6, 2024 You edited the MapEditorSettings.txt with the normal notepad? I noticed the normal notepad changes the encoding to UTF-8-BOM and after that the map editor doesn't open. Solution: Notepad++ keeps the encoding in UTF-8. It also allows to change the encoding back to UTF-8.

(keep in mind that i am not a coding expert) The other reason I know for the map editor not opening is lack of RAM. Sometimes it opens and the screen stays black, other times doesn't open. If the background is too big, try converting the images to PNG 8 bits. Łukasz Jakowski
