How do i create a map, in the files?

I am trying to create a map, but i dont know how, because the Map Editor thats there has already a map inside it with provinces etc.

So how do i create a map with provinces etc?

After i made all the steps shown in the video, i cant oped the Map Editor to add provinces to my map, even though i have Java. Do you know wheres the problem?

Check mapeditorsettins.txt which map is set
if doesn't work then install latests java

I checked the mapeditorssetting.txt and it was the right one, so i installed jdk 23 (latest) which still didnt work so i installed jdk 21 (you said that we need jdk 21) and it didnt work aswell

You edited the MapEditorSettings.txt with the normal notepad? I noticed the normal notepad changes the encoding to UTF-8-BOM and after that the map editor doesn't open.

Solution: Notepad++ keeps the encoding in UTF-8. It also allows to change the encoding back to UTF-8.

no still not but thank you. but what is weird is that the other map editor the original (in my screenshot) can be opened. do you know why? (keep in mind that i am not a coding expert)

The other reason I know for the map editor not opening is lack of RAM. Sometimes it opens and the screen stays black, other times doesn't open. If the background is too big, try converting the images to PNG 8 bits.
