Renaming

I was working on a scenario and had to change the name and religion of a civ, so I went to the scenarios clicked on my scenario and the civ I need to change and tapped R where I think your supposed to be able to change the name of a civ, this is my first time doing this but it doesn't seem to be working, I change the name of civ and click save but nothing happens, I tried to change a Irelands religion and clicked save but nothing happened again, I don't know whether this is a bug or I'm missing something,

After changing the religion that way, you have to reload the scenario.

Using R is with government type TAG, use E to any government type.
 

Are you using the mods folder? The game never saves in the mods folder.
