Mac version doesnt update to beta?

Im playing a Macbook version of AoH3 and I've noticed a strange thing. It looks like the game somehow doesn't update to beta features despite selecting the correct option (betatests) in the properties - after launching the game, I dont see features such as "chaos mode" or option to send ultimatums to my vassals. 

The latest beta feature which is visible in the game is the option to release any civilisation as a vassal.

I tried restarting Steam, reinstalling the game, updating java, did Steam troubleshooting - no result.

EDIT: I just got a proof that game files werent updated at all - i extracted them and checked GV_Diplomacy.json for new values related to ultimatum. They are not present, so something is not working properly when it comes to updates @Łukasz Jakowski

AoH3 on Mac OS used a different type of packaging and is a very old version(first version i guess)

you can try to download an aoh3 copy on Windows and play this copy on your mac,but im not sure if it works.

unfortunately doesnt work:( the only option I found are apps like Crossover, to launch Windows version of Steam.

I'm disappointed tbh. MacOS port of AoH3 is neglected - not only when it comes to beta updates but albo optimization, which is terrible in comparison to Windows (and I'm not the only one who is noticing this issue:

A member in our team has also reported the crash and I find that if you are using Apple Silicon,the game will crash because it can't find native libraries on macos-arm64.

I'm trying to add those missing library files to game,maybe this method can work.
