Peace Treaties

Question

So I'm playing as Texas in the Victorian era and i have occupied a large chunk of Mexico. I am satisfied with my chunk and tried to settle for peace but Mexico isn't having it. Could someone please explain to me how peace deals work? Like, can I annex the territory i occupied WITHOUT having to conquer the entire country.

yes you can but you have to capture important cities or hold the line for a very long time (risky). The ai doesnt surrender bcs it knows that it can still fight ,by capturing populous cities you reduce their recruitable army drastically

1. Conquer the Country you want to invade.

2. In the peace treaty if the lands you took are making the map  too bordergorish try making the country your puppet.

3. After annex your puppet.

⬇️ Another method ⬇️

1. If the Country Is small you can take all the land if you are a major power.
