My Additions for Resources:

Resources are vital to a country's development and key to the country's growth. However, resources may also be used to manufacture items, such as weapons. Resources can also be utilized to construct buildings.

Also resources can be used for trading. For example, if you need wood, but you are in desert, you can conclude a trade agreement and get it for gold, or some other resource.

I'm a simple man, I'd rather take over the country
