National Claims

Hello,

Today I want to aboard the idea of claims. I will be somewhat important for historical and modern conflicts. It will bring a plus for diplomacy. It is based on formable nations. 

Claims defending the attachment to a State of certain territories which, in its eyes, should legitimately be so, for example because they were once part of it or because their population is considered by these nationalists as historically, ethnically or linguistically related. As you can see, to implement this, there needs to be a cultural feature, but since there is no confirmation, I won't take it in consideration. 

Before I show how this could be added, here's the effect for other countries :

• If other countries have land included in the claim (capital not included), their relations will have a penalty of -5.
• If the capital is included, relations will have a penalty of -15.
• Aggressive expansion for countries whose land is included in the claim will be +5%.
• War weariness will go up to +10% 

Autocratic democracy, (Military) Dictatorship, Fascism and National Socialism will have a bonus to the claim cost and legacy : -5%

So, in the Main tab, there would be a new icon named claims. (Note : This could be offensive, but no hate will be tolerated, it is just an example) :

 

When we click on it there would be a pop up with two options ; select an existing claim and create one.

Then the claim will be shown similarly as for formable nations, with the option to brush or erase. There are two options, the first one is to edit one which already exists, and the second one is when we create one.

 

First option : Greater Germany                                          

 

Second option : Create a Claim ; Lebensraum
