I noticed that the technology in the last video has advanced a lot, they looked like they were from 1800 in a time of 1300, with grenadiers and other units. Is this a error that will be fixed?

The solution is to add a time range. But Lukasz seems to be allergic to this idea.

i think not, i think civilizations should (by default) have a technological advancement graph depending on their continent that the AI will try it's best to follow, and technological advancements should be easier to research once a nearby civilization unlocks them

Yea, technologies definitely needs something like a “year of unlocking.” And until that year comes, the price of technology should be increased exponentially.
