Province Editing Question

Question

Hello! I'm trying to edit the base map by adding a few new provinces, I've made a new map in a mod folder and edited using the map editor, however when I go in game to add connections and give the provinces terrain/names etc, I can't click on the new provinces. Whenever I try it just selects the province that I made it from. For example, I want to make the island of Djerba a province, but when I try to click on it, Medinine is selected instead.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you for the amazing game Lukasz!

It’s because the hitboxes of the sea province(12098) and land province(7304) overlap with the newly created land province.

The province with the lower ID is always checked first when clicked.

The solution is to remake the sea province and land province so it doesn’t overlap with the new land province.

Remove the province in the map editor by clicking 'J', then redraw the sea province to ensure it’s not over the newly created land province.

Press Enter to save your changes.

Do not close the program until all removed provinces have been added back.

You have to redraw province ID: 12098(Sea province) and 7304(Land province only if you haven't deleted the island from this province)

Thank you! I have one more question that would make my life easier: in the video on making new map mods, you somehow select all the bordering dots at once instead of manually clicking each one. What key does this? For reference it is at 5:22 in the video "Age of History 3 - How to create a new Map/Mod"

You click 'Y' after clicking at least two points.

SPACE = Enable/Disable draw provinces
O = Enable/Disable draw provinces points
C = Enable/Disable draw cities
V = Enable/Disable draw cities names
Z = Enable/Disable background
X = Enable/Disable backgroundMapEditor
L = Rebuild provinces colors
Y = Follow the path of the province
P = Draw province ID
J = Delete a province
N = Add point to province
M = Move point

I did that but for some reason the game isn't loading my provinces and also it's only loading 2 of my 6 map backgrounds is their a way to change that?

Added:

Also I figured it out the base game provincepoint.json doesn't have the words iprovinceId: # and only has pX and pY instead of the editors IpointsX and Y but my question is their a way to add the provinces in more conveniently because what I did is copy and paste the code for the provinces into the px and py places
