City Names Being Randomized

Hello! Another question regarding map making. It seems that in the course of my editing, all of the city names are now randomized whenever I go into the game. In both the map editor and the city editor they show up correctly, but when launching the game all the cities have randomized names, and during loading the game even says "Cities generated!" Even in the map cities file all of them are correct.

I am also having a bug where my connections are not being saved despite pressing the save button to exit the connection editor menu.

I encountered the same problem. I suspect that my cities.json is not in the right place.

About connecting provinces, try copying and replacing several json files in map/MAPNAME/data/ProvinceNeighboringProvinces to the same location in mods/.

I looked into it, and the default map (Earth3) has the cities.json in the same location, and it works properly. I'm not sure what could be causing the issue.

Open the map editor for the cities, check if are in the right place and click enter to save

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I opened the city editor and all of the cities were in the right place, including my custom ones for the new provinces I made. I pressed enter to save, closed the editor, and then launched AOH3. I selected my custom map, and it loaded in with randomized province names.

My city name is in Chinese. Is it possible that it cannot be displayed because of this? It says that cities.json failed to load.

I know why. When I put the old Cities.json into the file and the game generated a p: file for me in the new Cities.json, the Chinese characters were damaged.
