Rodak Polak 597 Posted February 4, 2024 What do you think about separate port, that is curently in the game, into port and shipyard port - trading tasks - bonus in prestige and additional income shipyard - allows you to send soldiers to sea Maybe there won't be a navy in the game but my solution could introduce some primitive version of the navy Outlawexperience
Rodak Polak 597 Posted February 4, 2024 @muhoaga I know you want navy in the game, what do you think about my idea? Do you think this is a good step in the development of the game? muhoaga
Rodak Polak 597 Posted February 4, 2024 (edited) Maybe in the technology tree we should be able to develop shipyards so that more and more units can sail into the sea Primitive shipyard - allows 10 units to go to sea Small shipyard - allows 25 units to go to sea Average shipyard - allows 50 units to go to sea Large shipyard - allows 80 units to go to sea Modern shipyard - allows 100 units to go to sea Future shipyard - allows 150 units to go to sea It would be good if the number of units at sea was limited, so that it would not be possible to have 500,000 units at sea as it was in AoH2 This is a bad solution, so that by sending only one "ship" we could conquer all of England. It is impossible in real world Also it should not be possible to combine units at sea like it is on the land in the game Edited February 4, 2024 by Rodak Polak
Łukasz Jakowski 13,395 Posted February 4, 2024 It will no longer be required to build a port to be able to go to sea. All you need to do is research one technology which allows going to the sea. Port building will give economic advantages Outlawexperience, qxz, Shiite and 7 others 8

And ports could reduce the time needed to sail out to the sea/ocean. I think it just makes the most sense. Also as a side note, moving troops should cost money (the further they move, the more it should cost) to better represent logistics. I hope you see and consider this 🙂 Wayne23lololh

It should be more like how far your army and ships can go before they turn back. After you research a technology you should be able to go anywhere. Ancient empires like the Romans and the Carthaginians had naval invasions but could not venture far out into the sea.
