Better UI - (Title Screens, Loading Screens, Icons)

BETTER AGE OF HISTORY 3 UI

I've watched all the recent Aoh3 videos and I don't have a bad opinion about the game's mechanics. But I think it's too simple in terms of UI and needs to be improved. It can look much more professional and with these improvements it can take on the big names in the market. (Paradox Games) Below is a sample design that I designed myself and the current design. (Except for the real painting) I designed everything myself and I believe it makes the game look much better. I would be happy to send Lukasz the high quality pictures of the elements I designed below. Also, if he likes it, I can come up with many similar designs (I can also improve the current design) (Improved desings are added)

first one is too bland, second one doesn't feel like the aoc series AT ALL, i would love a take on it that keeps the AOH feel

there's simple and then there's soulless and bland, the current UI is the latter

 

 

also the one below is as simple, the only difference really is the aesthetic which wouldn't fit AOH imo but i would love a mixture of both worlds

I understand that it is bland, but the point was that the current main menu is simple, which is not bad.

so we can agree the current menu is bland and soulless but a redesign should keep the simplicity aspect?

How about this one? It's simpler and it matches the interface of Age of History (I tried to copy it) @OwnM3Z0 @qxz @ Łukasz Jakowski

doesn't convince me.

specially the box at the bottom right; it just feels extra.

this one's REALLY GOOD, really captures the feal and simplicity without being bland, i love it!

I AM LOOKING AT IT 😡😡😡

honestly, that box would work better in the scenario menu than in the main one, something like a scenario description.

Actually, the reason I added the text was related to the painting on the back. I thought it was a nice add-on.If these designs are liked, I would also like to design a loading screen. I'm sure the info box would be look better there.

fair enough. i feel like it's too extra information for a supposedly simple main menu. it would fit better on where you said.

though, that box is like, really at the bottom of the screen. it would be better putting it more at the right-center.

It looks cool (especially option 3), but considering that Java libgdx (the library that the game uses to draw UI graphics) has difficulties with the UI elements layout (they're drawn in rows and columns, however, graphics libraries for most programming languages have this feature), I'm not sure that it's easy in the implementation (there are large gaps between the buttons compared to the current UI, this will probably create problems for Lukasz). In addition, the main scenario (1440) occurred before the Battle of Varna, but I'm just finding fault with that😁

i like this one and i like the infobox maybe the infobox howveer could be present in the pick a civilziation screen just like in eu4, crusader kings and hoi4 when u go to pick countires so either in the pick a civilization but i dont mind it being in the main menu cuz it looks amazing there too

Each screen is unique. This makes you think about revising such a simple thing in the game as the boot menu. I would offer you a screensaver from a popular strategy site that still fascinates me.

I think it would be possible to make something like this boot screen. So that he would throw people into a sweat from the very start of the game.

I love these ideas! I'm not much of a history buff, so having short descriptions of what the various backgrounds are would be great. Would love to different interspersed with paintings, battles, wonders, etc. I'm 100% on board this idea
