Mouse-over Information Bubble(Pop-up)

Recommended Posts

Dear @ŁukaszJakowski ,

Adding an Pop-up bubble with detailed information describing the category or option that you hover your mouse-over.
Not only for the main menu, when choosing scenario. But also for in-game too. Since there so many new mechanics
and new things to consider(missions, technology trees, economy, trade etc.). It's a must feature!

Although it may take time to add this option, I would strongly recommend it. I've read half the forum. And from those
observations, actually many people. Don't know how to do stuff. It reminds me of the old games where you had to spend 3-5 hours
only experimenting with every feature in order to understand it how everything works and why.
Or add a wiki, so we know what does what and why!

This is definitely a 'no go' for new customers (players), who haven't even played AoH 2. Which to be honest is a far away from AoH 3. But as an experienced AoH2 player, sometimes I do find analogies and similarities between both games. Nevertheless this feature would also make the game
look more professionally made and refined.

P.S. The game in my perspective already looks top-notch!!!

If you hover the mouse and wait for 3 seconds, then if there is more information, it will be shown. It is indicated by a blue loading bar at the bottom of the hover.

For example, in the province view, if you hover over the economy, more information will be shown.

After spending some time and mainly getting used to the new UI. I even found the Encyclopedia.  About the Pop-up Bubble, I saw what you meant extra info appears in grey painted letters.  I think  I expressed myself wrong/didn't described it right. Because I saw it, but it didn't helped, actually extra confused me in that sense:
Example:
The Economy or Tax Efficiency tab, let's say you hover over some city, bubble appears with info, then after 3 seconds the extra info appears.
I am not mathematician and when I have more than decimals values, I am getting instant confused,  in my view not very friendly to various kind of players.
I am studing programming languages, I understand why for you this is an everyday thing, but for other people it isn't.
For example Tax Efficiency shows as extra grey info this:

Constantinople:
Monthly Income Taxation: +0.05
 = 0.001+min(Population, 150000) /
27500)* Tax Efficiency %

^^^^^^
No way you expect from me to take out my calculator and do math, while I am enjoying a game. Moreover the big numbers

are written together, which makes them hardly readable:   For example : is  150000, instead of 150 000. Or 27500, instead of 27 500
With space between them, for more readability.
Also about the extra info where this "0.001" comes from, is "min" minute or minimal. The city doesn't have 150 000 population, so where this number comes from
Now, do you get what I mean, when I say extra info is missing :D

This rule applies for the extra greysh info in the Economy tab. And every other Tab involving symbols like
>>>>   ( ) or  * or having three numbers after the dot like 0.001, instead of two 0.05.

A simpler way of describing it (with numbers no problems) but not leaving a formula, and expect to get a sheet of paper
and calculate using the formula. Especially the Tax Efficiency tab :P
