I've been enjoying AoC II for some time now, and I adore how intricate and deep the game is. But I feel like I've reached a standstill in terms of my strategic development now. I know how to run economies, build alliances, and wage wars; yet, in order to truly succeed and win the game, I want to delve further into more complex tactics and approaches to this community.

I'd really appreciate some guidance or pointers in the following areas:

Diplomacy and Alliances: What are the best ways to maintain enduring alliances? My alliances frequently end up falling apart over time or turning into more of a burden than a benefit. Any advice on how to pursue aggressive expansion while yet preserving solid diplomatic relations?

Economic Management: In the event of protracted conflict, what cutting-edge economic tactics can be employed to guarantee a steady and expanding economy? I occasionally have trouble striking a balance between military spending and economic expansion.

Military Tactics: In addition to standard troop movements and combat scenarios, what sophisticated military strategies do you employ to outwit and outmanoeuvre adversaries? Which certain combinations or arrangements of units work best?

Technology and Development: How would you rank the importance of developing infrastructure and advancing technology? Are there any tech routes that offer a big boost in the middle to late game?

Creation of Scenarios: I've experimented with writing my own scenarios, but I'd be interested in learning other people's methods. Any advice on how to create scenarios that are interesting, well-balanced, and a decent challenge?
