Since the leader will die, who will take their place? Like in democracies will elections be held and in monarchies will there be heirs that take over the throne?

There will be no heirs in the game. What you chose on the throne when choosing which country to play for, he will rule on the throne until the end of the game.

And did the developer say this? He did say the rulers would die so once the ruler dies would there not be a ruler at all?

So like a ai generated charecter? I guess that would make sense for monarchies but for democracies there should be elections atleast
