Dynamic Government Evolution System AI Government Evolution: Develop a mechanic where AI-controlled countries can change their government type based on specific conditions over time. These conditions could include technological advancements, economy level, stability, and social progress. For example: Tech-based Evolution: Once a country reaches certain technological milestones, it can no longer remain a tribal government. For example, if the country develops technology beyond a specific threshold, they must upgrade to at least a monarchy, democracy, or dictatorship. Economic Prosperity: If a tribal country experiences economic growth beyond a certain level (e.g., high GDP or large cities), it automatically evolves into a more advanced form of government. Stability and Culture: Countries with high internal stability or cultural influence should naturally transition from tribal systems to republics, monarchies, or other advanced forms of government. Random Events: Introduce random events where tribal governments face reform movements or internal coups, causing them to adopt new political systems. 2. AI Reform System Gradual Political Reforms: Add AI scripts that trigger political reforms when certain in-game conditions are met (e.g., long-term peace, high education levels, or alliances with non-tribal countries). This way, even if the country starts as a tribal state, it will evolve its government over time to more modern systems like democracies or authoritarian regimes. For example, after 50 in-game years, a tribal country should reform to a monarchy, and after another 50 years, if certain conditions are met, it could transform into a constitutional monarchy or a democracy. 3. Tech-based Military Limits Advanced Troops Require Modern Governments: Prevent tribal governments from having access to advanced military units (e.g., tanks, jets, or nuclear weapons). Introduce a rule where certain types of units are only unlocked when a country has modernized its government. For example: Nuclear weapons and advanced military technology should be tied to more sophisticated government systems. Tribal nations should only have access to basic units (infantry, cavalry, etc.) unless they transition to a monarchy, dictatorship, or republic. 4. Government Evolution Policies AI Decision-making Policies: Implement policies within the AI that incentivize government change. For example: The AI should aim to reform its government if surrounded by more modernized nations or if it is under threat from stronger neighbors. AI should prioritize moving toward republics or monarchies based on diplomatic relations with other countries. For instance, tribal nations with democratic neighbors would be more likely to become democracies themselves through cultural influence or trade relations. 5. Event-based Government Upgrades Event Chains: Create event chains where countries are given the opportunity to change their government through internal revolutions or external pressures. For example: If a tribal country is losing a war, an event might trigger a government overthrow, replacing the tribal system with a dictatorship or monarchy. Over time, as a country reaches higher technology levels, an event could push the country to transition into a democracy or technocracy. 6. Cultural Influence and Modernization Pressure Global Modernization Pressure: The more advanced the world becomes, the greater the pressure for countries to modernize. Tribal countries should receive penalties (such as lower production or diplomacy penalties) for not upgrading their government in a high-tech world. This will push AI toward upgrading their government over time. 7. Player Interaction with AI Government Changes Allow the player to influence AI countries by forming alliances or applying diplomatic pressure to push a government reform agenda in neighboring countries. For instance, a democratic player could help fund a revolution in a tribal AI country to transform it into a republic. Unknown_dude 2 Posted October 11, 2024 Yeah Dude, This would be even better if there was an event that talks about whether the citizens approve the law, this should appear as an event and there could also be a risk of civil war (if the player chose another option.)
