Hallo! I hava a question about holy roman empire. 

　When the country which I play is elected as the holy roman empire,can　I do something special , such as "become a sovereignty of the state nation that composes the Holy Roman Empire", and "if that state nation is attacked by another country (a country outside the Holy Roman Empire), the empire  can order a counterattack within the empire"??

Or is that emperor's seat just a nominal position and can not do anything special?

No, you cant do anything. Its just for showing off or something. What I always do in Moder day is make the Alliance "EU" and also the Holy Roman Empire with EU borders and only when your country is in control of the HRE then you can kick other countries. This isnt coded into the game so you need to control yourself for that
