The topic is a remake. Hello everyone, This is a repost and the original is deleted, because the original is deleted due to the lack of space. The start is the same, it could be tiring to read again. I propose (with qxz's observation) to make units in the tech tree starting from the 1910's will move differently. The mechanic for earlier units would still be enabled, showing a technological gap between civilizations with early warfare and civilizations with modern warfare. The modern war mechanic would make units not be able to cross more than one unoccupied province at once. It needs to make a series of sieges to advance. This would still keep t…

Hello mein people, today we'll be talking about different flags, and how we can implement them into the flag editor. I will divide this topic into multiple parts to make it more organized. Other post. Starting with, Banners: Through out history vertical banners were used instead horizontal flags. Like Dynastical Zhou. And since AOH3 flags are gonna have slightly more space we could do this. I would make an example but that takes too much time. Or if it's too long to put the full flag with the new flag format, we could make it short. [DETOUR] There should be more flag shape options, banner, prolonged tips, ect will give multiple example below …

Hello, Before I start, I announce credits to @Das Moss Man for his topic Royal houses and intermarriage. Today, I'm gonna introduce the idea of personal union and dynasties/houses. Personal Union This time, it would be more utilized than just a type of subject in which two kingdoms have the same king. A personal union is a relationship between two or more political entities that are considered separate sovereign states, they will have separate councils, however the head of state is the same. In law, it is not a real union of territories. How to establish a personal union There will be for now two options to create a personal union. The first op…

I have been following closely the continuous and impressive development by Lukasz with AoH3 and I couldn't help but notice one small thing. In Age of History II the west bank of the Rhine can easily be distinguished as a separated region in the Ruhr area. But that's not the case in this map since some provinces are in both sides of the river: My suggestion would be minor corrections along the river to better match the so called "Natural Borders of France" This comes from the precedent that in the 1800s France actually managed to get these borders during the Napoleonic era and I would like if Lukasz could take this into consideration. …

This is my last request for now, it's the possibility to federalize our playing country to stabilize more. Like the proposal to federalize Austria-Hungary in 1906. I don't want that to become too op, just create some states in the country and there will have an internal border to divide each state. It's only for stability and risk of rebellion, it's also for look. I think it could be interesting for laws and reforms. We can't create it with another country. And finnaly, the capital is still the same. Note : this isn't an ideology, so monarchy, democraty, communism could be federalized. Here's the proposed reform :

Approval Rate The effects of approval rate scale linearly from the worst at 0 to the best at 100: Variable 0% 50% 100% National unrest +5 0 −5 Rebellions Factor +15 0 -15 Income from vassals −15% 0 +15% Diplomacy Point Gain -25% 0 +25% Low Approval Rate creates more rebellions and destabilizes the country. What do you think about this?

1. Civilian casualties 2. New random civilizations that arise in highly developed provinces next to large countries or appear in groups like a tribe. 3. Allow dynasties to be present in the game, and they will make a big difference 4. Character traits that affect almost everything in the game, from foreign policy to domestic policy. 5. 6-8 states receive bonuses at the very beginning of the game - historically they have been great.(for some reason, many people liked this idea the most) 6. Something about eternal diseases that can disappear only when you reach the level that allows you to invent a vaccine against them. And…

I see a lot of people asking for modern combat suggestions without thinking about the implications of it, some people simply don't understand that Lukas wants a EU4-like game with the ability to make modern scenarios as a bonus, most of the attention is on the 1400 - 1600s timeframe. In other words, asking for things like capitulations wouldn't make sense if it was the only thing in the game, so I instead ask for combat to be changed slightly through each period in the research tree. 1790 - 1870: This era was defined by line warfare, this was before the idea of "front lines" was really practical. Battles are quick events, with most battles being reliant on territ…

Bucket Tool I've had this idea when I was wondering about Scenario editing/making and Building stuff. Basically, how this tool could work something like in image editor programs (Photoshop, Aseprite, Krita, etc.), the player could just click in a closed area and then, automatically, ready, this could be very useful for making scenarios, there are some examples I have in my mind: If the player makes a scenario of WW1 (if it doesn't come in default AoH3), instead of making Russia, they could just set minor countries and use the Bucket tool When demanding in peace treaty, players could use to set demands of annexation It could be used even to se…

The system of vassal in aoh2 is bad reasons: -vassal won't join master's alliance/faction -vassal will oftenly rebel against its master (My reasons may be bad) Heres the things aoh3 should add: -vassal/puppet will give its master resources -vassal/puppet will join master's alliance/faction automatically Vassals also need "levels" (or something) example: - Dominion -colony -provisional government -puppet -Integrated Puppet Or more.. Vassals/puppets can be independent by joining wars, bigger army than master and more vassals/puppets can be annexed by master (After countries getting puppeted they…

Get ready for price swings! Events can mess with resource prices for a bit :P # If a province have a resource, it generates income based on two factors: the unique price of the resource and the production efficiency within the province. The unique price reflects rarity of the resource.

Border gore hurts my eyes so much. There are a few problems in the current version of AoH3: Having vassals is too strong, but at the same time the AI does not create vassals. Therefore, countries that start the game with vassals will be unbeatable. Likewise, the player, as the only thinking being in the game, will be unbeatable when freeing his vassals (because AI doesn't create vassals) There must be an option to annex vassals. Otherwise, the borders will be so painful that the game will be unplayable If there is an option to annex vassals, there must also be an option for the vassal to rebel against the lord (The film shows that England has vassalize…

From what we know, there are gonna be a lot of cities, and I think we can make it cooler by renaming the cities when a new nation conquers them, for example, Greece invades turkey and annexes izmir,I think it would feel better if the city was automatically renamed to Smyrna, or Germany invades Poland(for the millionth time in history) and annexes Szczecin, wouldn't it feel cooler if it renamed to Stettin. I believe it would make the game feel more alive and interactive then before, but I want to hear your opinion on this,if possible.thanks for reading!

The Holy Roman Empire is not a separate state, but a political entity that includes the states of Germany and Northern Italy. At the bottom of the screen there is an eagle button that opens the HRE interface. On the left and right are columns with members of religious leagues during their existence. By clicking on the cross icon in a particular column, you can enter or leave the corresponding league. In the upper left part of the main interface is the coat of arms of the country of the current emperor. To the right of it is a window in which the amount of Imperial Authority (IA) and its monthly increase are indicated. At the top right is a list of Imperial refor…

All religions have moral authority, depending on the control of sacred places (five provinces that are sacred for one religion or another, some of them “separate” two different religions, and only one can control, which spurs wars), the numbers and titles of believers, victories in holy wars and crusades. A religion with high moral authority is readily adopted by all districts and is accepted by other rulers. In this way, you can shake up some religion that is of little significance in reality and discover how all your neighbors accept it in the hope of protection. A religion with low moral authority is not respected, it is reluctantly accepted, and most importantly, it g…

so lately everyone has been begging Lukasz jakowski to add a frontline system for the more modern post ww1 scenarios, i have been no exception, but here is why it is so hard to implement and possible solutions that i thought of 1- How will the AI work?! its labour intensive to make TWO AI'S for TWO DIFFERENT PERIODS making a good AI is already Extremely hard and is probably the number 1 thing Lukasz spends his time adjusting and working on, AI Peace Treaties, Diplomacy, And War Declaration are already extremely difficult to add with the current system, now imagine having to program TWO DIFFERENT AI For Post ww1, which would be a nightmare to even think …

yall dont know how a publisher works apparently... paradox is not gonna own the game, its just gonna publish it under their name for bigger reach, chill down Publishers take a negotiated cut. They can assist if he wants to hire someone to help him. Hence we get more devs on the game Mostly up to him. Publisher would help but if he doesn't want to give up money on his passion project or keep it cheap. He may price the game higher if a Publisher gets involved. He can do what he wants In terms of the dlc worry: then dw Paradox makes DLC only for games from its own studios, not for 3rd-party games. To do this with AoH3, they first need to buy Lukasz (more preci…

I don't have a detailed idea so help me in comments My general thought is to have some attraction buildings in the game such as wonders, airports, tourism centers, etc which attracts tourists. Also high stability causes more tourists come to your country. Beside its economical bonuses it can have benefits such converting your religion in first stages of game or maybe improving your relations with other countries or anything else that makes sense about tourism

Hello everyone, There were interesting foreshadowed features about monarchy, where monarchic countries were specified by rank, like minor countries count, major countries kingdoms, etc... This feature would make the game more immersive and skirmish. This feature would be mainly automatic, except for empires and caliphate. This feature would be based on rank, religion and if it is added, cultures. Imagine seeing that Ottoman Empire in 1444 is a sultanate, and in 1517 a caliphate ! It will bring more variety to the game. Template : Monarchy Level Monarch name …
