Bucket Tool in Scenario Editing or something more

Recommended Posts

Bucket Tool

I've had this idea when I was wondering about Scenario editing/making and Building stuff.

Basically, how this tool could work something like in image editor programs (Photoshop, Aseprite, Krita, etc.), the player could just click in a closed area and then, automatically, ready, this could be very useful for making scenarios, there are some examples I have in my mind:

  • If the player makes a scenario of WW1 (if it doesn't come in default AoH3), instead of making Russia, they could just set minor countries and use the Bucket tool
  • When demanding in peace treaty, players could use to set demands of annexation
  • It could be used even to set a distribuition of the army

I hope you all have enjoyed this idea

I don't quite understand how this would work, can you elaborate?

Yes, this could work like in Image Editing tools, where you can fill an isolated area with some color.
But, in AoH3, it could be used in Scenario making:

  • Let's suppose you are making a scenario, where you've setted a big part of the map will be to a specific nation, instead of using the brush tool to set this area (like in one of Lukasz demonstrations in his channel), it could be used instead, the bucket tool, which would set the entire territory in just one click

Although, I'm not so good making maps manually, I hope that's more understandable

Thanks for the explanation, I like the idea 👍

Yes, it should be helpful exactly with large maps

Yep, like, making scenarios would be much easier with this, specially when you're setting Russia in almost any scenario

I don't quite understand the "bucket" function. Why bother if you can just paint it with quick clicks.
About the idea of anexia - this is understandable. But annexation will not solve problems with states that also wanted these territories or were on good terms with this state and cooperated.
