I want to make a big empire without so much war, so, how can i make countries become my allies more easily?

Once, when I was playing for the civilization of the Northern Mariana Islands, I made friends with Japan, adjusting relations to 100. Then I made her MY VASSAL. She was released more than once, but after each day of independence, I made her my vassal again!

What was said by Peterux can only be complemented with this fact:If your nation or your wannabe ally is at war the probabilities that he accepts an alliance with you is almost zero

You can pay a small country to declare war on the country you want to improve relationship with, then declare war on the small country. That makes you and the country you wanna improve relationship with a common enemy, this will raise the relationship status.

 just pay them money they send u love (nohomo) and u send them too (nohomo) hate countries that they hate love countries that they love declare independece for them. Declare war that they have declared war and send them req for allies but u basicly have to be close like do not be like im playing with UK let's make alliance with Japan well that's a big no no square.

Develop all kinds of relations with the country you want to be allies with, if it takes too long, you have to write "diplomacy" in the cheat codes section.

Basicly if u want no wars then bruh do not make alliances u don't know if France is going to be in war with Japan just send diplomatic relationships to everyone and build economics.

You don’t really need allies, Just decent relations. Usually as a small nation improving relations will do the trick, But if somebody declares war you can always release a vassal along the border.

If you become really powerful you get bonuses to alliance attempts and countries tend to improve relations with you because they don’t wanna get crushed. This option works well when you can defeat a lot of smaller countries to gain a lot of power like in 1440’s Central Europe
