gameplay Why do we need four research buildings?

Why do we need 4 research buildings (Library, School, University and Academy) if research points output is limited? 13 libraries (650 gold) is enough to be absolutely sure your output will be as big as possible. Aren't they're useless? Do I miss something?

Also other sources look really weak compared to buildings. Advisor provides 1 to 5 (if fully upgraded) research points at max.

I sincerely believe that buildings should generate research points 5 times slower, so that the library creates +1, the school +1.5, and so on 🙂
