How to add own flags for Governments of Civilization?

 

Each Civilization have own TAG
Example: "pol" - Poland

All lists of tags and Civilizations can be found:

Game files -> game -> languages -> civilizations -> Bundle.properties

 

Each type of government have own extra TAG
Game files -> game -> Governments.json

For monarch extra tag is: "m"
Extra_Tag: "m",

So the flag of Monarch of Poland will have this TAG: "pol_m"
For the Horde the TAG will be "pol_h" etc.

Flags location:
Game files -> game -> Flags - Small flag (Required)
Game files -> game -> FlagsH - Large flag(Optional)

 

For own Civilizations created in "Civilization Creator"

Game files -> game -> civilizations_editor -> 1544372214811aiomucxo

"1544372214811aiomucxo" is an example TAG of your Civilization

"1544372214811aiomucxo_FL.png" Democracy Flag
"1544372214811aiomucxo_m_FL.png" Monarchy Flag
"1544372214811aiomucxo_h_FL.png" Horde Flag
etc.

You can just change the country name manually after changing your government type, but a way to set the defaults would also be great.

Yes, I have already done these steps, but there is a problem with my language(khmer) in the game, it's unknown in my language(khmer) ..thank you for reply...

I did it on phone it works but any good picture resizer app that keeps the quality like i added iron cross german flag but its pixelated

I was messing with the government file making my own ideologys and now I can't change my countries ideology while playing as that country I click change government but it does nothing

Yes 1545243925747pcthozzo_g first of all _g isnt a ideology code its _f, _c, _m _h _u and nothing for democracy also resize the image to 68 44 pixels and name it 1545243925747pcthozzo.png

I have a problem, when I make a flag for my communist/fascist/tribal etc.. country. The flag will never appear.

No matter what, this democratic flag always appears; when I attempt to change things, it either does nothing or the flag goes blank.

I've tried to do multiple flag renaming techniques to get my other flags to show, but they won't. If I do this let's say:

1551645027341nzzxrknd_c_FL.png = my attempt at making a communist flag.

It doesn't work, I've tried resizing, deleting, renaming my democratic flag. Pretty much everything; does anybody know any instructions on how to do this correctly?

Put the 1551645027341nzzxrknd_c_FL.png (remove FL) here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\game\flags" and 1551645027341nzzxrknd_c_FLH.png (remove FLH) here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Civilizations II\game\flagsH". Do the same with other gov. flags if you have. For future: FL flags put to the "game\flags" and FLH flags put here: "game\flagsH". Hope it will help 🙂

I did this and now my game wont start it crashes when loading game data
