OPINION: What do you wanna see in a mod?

What do you look for in a mod? How many scenarios? How many civs? How many formables? Do you want a new map? What about elaborate trees of events for major nations?

I'm curious to know. What makes a mod appealing to you?

Mod, that have a political party and a map feature that can see which what nation that have the religion, ethnicity, language and culture.

More provinces than base map, but not too much

Many more scenarios

New mechanics

Many formable nations

Many more nations

More ideologies

More flags for ideologies

Nice looking map

every country should have formable civilization so it gives you goal for playing each country

- More Countries (Mostly from the EU4 roster so I can make a 1444 scenario)
- Formables for Most, if not all, of the countries
- More mechanics, like events that are requirement based rather than based on a date, or events that can happen randomly to any country
- Something similar to a missions tree (that might count with the events based on requirements i had earlier)
- Maybe countries that spawn via events / during a certain time frame
- More leaders, and more mechanics related to them (succession and stuff)
- Honestly, just stuff to make the game more like EU4 I suppose

0% AI aggression so you can only start scripted wars through events

Capitulation system. Most annoying part of the game is when you are trying to invade a country and you have to invade the entire country meanwhile small pockets of resistance can reclaim the entire enemy territory

Something like the national spirits on Hoi

Basically just modifiers which endure in your nation until they either expire or go away through a decision or event example: Napoleonic infantry spirit, is triggered by rise of Napoleon event and gives +50% infantry attack and defence until another event which removes Napoleon as the French leader and thus removes the spirit

a focus tree. like a real focus tree with no events. an actual focus tree tab.

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
      AoH3 will have different types of land units.

      In this topic we will write ideas for new land units. 

       

      So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.


      Representation of the battlefield in the game.


      Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

      Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.


       

      Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

       

      Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

      Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

      Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

      Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

      Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

      Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

      Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

       

      This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?

      Or maybe an idea for a new type of unit with upgrades? I'm waiting for your suggestions.

       
    • Age of History 3 - Buildings ideas
      Your ideas can become part of the game, in this topic we will write ideas for new buildings in Age of History 3.

       

      The buildings will be grouped into four categories:

      1. Administration

      2. Military

      3. Economy

      4. Unique capital buildings - These powerful buildings provide bonuses for the local province or for all provinces of your Civilization

       

      All of the buildings can be upgraded, here is example:

      Library -> University -> Academy

      Each building costs differently and gives different bonuses.

       

       

      This is what your building idea post should look like, example

       

      Building Group: Administration

      Name: Tax Office

      Cost: 60 Gold

      Construction Time: 90 Days

      Maintenance Cost: 0.2 gold per month

      The name of the technology that unlocks this building (Optional)

      And write here what bonuses this building provides. Example:

      Bonuses:

      Local Tax Efficiency: +10%

      Manpower per month: +25

       

      The same goes for building upgrades.

       

      The most important thing with new building ideas is to not stick to the old game, get creative and offer new bonuses not available in Age of History 2, and maybe new things and mechanics will be added to the game
