Are combat system gonna change in modern scenario?

Question for Lukasz! Are combat system would change somehow at special time, like "hours" feature?

Because it's not accurate that armies can walk past a province without capturing it. In medieval times, towns are made like fortresses so you can just walk past them. But in modern times, countries fighting for each piece of land so you need to capture them.

Maybe instead of changing at a certain date, It could be researched to be unlocked, or only available to certain scenarios. Like in the scenario editor, there would be an option for either "Traditional" or "Modern" warfare.
