I'm also working on a 1444 scenario, working with this map:

It includes events, formables, formables of formables, new governments, an historical accuracy (It took hours to find infos). Already did Europe, middle east and Africa, and I'm working now on events, leaders, and make it even more realistic (I wanna make every personnal unions, every vassals etc..) 

I use the "Project Alpha" map with 13K provinces, because the base map doesn't have enough provinces.
