How do I edit scripts to make mods?

So, I want to make a mod with some modified scripts, but I get a lot of errors when I try, but I tried EVERYTHING: normal eclipse, notepad, Jadclipse plugin, and more. Please help me.

There is a file called classes.dex on Android. I don't know if it will work, but when I open it, there are scripts such as AI, forts, if you open them with the dex editor. But I guess this information will not work because the game is actually on the pc.
