Will there be a modern world scenario or any other scenarios?

Hi! Not sure about MW, but there will be more scenarios. However, the ones we have in mind right now are centered around the Victorian Era,with alternate history in them.

How's the mod going?

Hello! Very good actually! The flags of some German Principalities have been fixed and given new ideology flags, central america is being worked on in terms of flags and general research. We also have some interesting scenario ideas (work in progress) 😉

Is there any idea of scenarios about 1848 February revolution or Sino-Japanese war era?

Well, not really. The are that's being worked on are flags for different civilizations, and, well, different civilizations. However, there is a possibility we will represent conflicts (not just major wars, but also migration and such) via events in the 1830 start date. The only different scenarios we have in mind as of now are alt-history ones. I will check with the team if they agree on having more scenarios with different start dates.

Hello, and sorry for not posting earlier (again). I don't really have much to say as of now...since I was occupied with a certain "side project” (that I won't spoil until the moment comes).

...But this reply is not related to that, but rather to the future of this mod.

I'll start with answering the question that has somewhat surfaced during this last month: “Will there be more scenarios”, and although @Commieslav has answered it before (I think that I mentioned earlier, but he is the spokesperson of our modding group), but since It also serves as a way to clarify some things, I'll do it too:

The simple answer is, again, YES. We want to cover quite a lot of events, but since we are a really small group (and the “active” members are less. This is obviously not a critic to them, in fact, some of the members of our group had to either leave because of time, or are also participating in their personal projects, being situations that are more than understandable). So progress and organization in general have been slow.

When this was a “solo project”, from my part, I had the quite unrealistic goal of adding a lot of scenarios (you can see it in the first post of this thread, and I quote More Scenarios [ *Just ideas, probably not all of them* ]: "The revolutions of 1848", "The Crimean War(1853)", "1857", "1860", "Winds of Unification: 1865", " La Belle Époque (1871)", "1879", "The Great Scramble(1884)", "Sino-Japanese war: 1894", "1900", "Administrative divisions of 1900", "Moroccan Crisis: 1905". [There could be scenarios up to 1939, but with this ideas is probably more than enough for now].” So, as you see, there was quite a lot in that original plan. But I ended up settling for something I could do better (under my opinion), trying to “perfect” the starting scenario (1830), adding civs I never saw in any other mod, and trying to give at least a ”bit of flavor” to most of them (adding then different flags and names for different ideologies, etc). But now that most of that is ready (there’s still some things that need a total makeover, but I’m also personally working on that), the process of organizing a mod group (although I’m the ‘de facto’ leader, we try to have decisions agreed by most of the group), and to decide together “what has to go”, “what should be added”, “what should everyone focus on” and “what’s the road to follow from here”, mixed with the lack of members have been somewhat complicated topics, that have taken the mod to a slower development.

The topic of planning the alternate history and historical topics is another interesting thing that we have hahaha.

And so, I have brought then two questions for the people interested in this mod.

1.      Should I keep writing the “To Fix” developing section? I ask this mostly because, although I like writing them (they let me have a more than decent insight for the topics I want to cover in the mod/scenario), but they are way to exhausting, and I personally feel that they maybe aren’t paying off, with their "lukewarm" reception (this is not to blame anyone, but because I feel that im just launching a wall of text to people, and perhaps I’m the only one enjoying it hahaha).

Considering the previously stated, the options then are:

"Yes, continue with them"

"No, they aren’t really a good idea"

"Yes, but shorter/(any other change you can think of)”

I’d make a poll for this, but I can’t find the option to create one for the thread, so if anyone can also help me with that, I’d be more than thankful.

2.      By looking at the state of the group, I was thinking, that it would help the developing in a great way to see if there are any people who want to help us by being new assets/recruits to our modding group. As I said before, people who want to correct some the inaccuracies they spot in the scenarios, flags, etc. are still free to do so in the comments of this thread (and in the future, under an specific section of the previously promised discord server, that although it already exists, is nor really ready to be released to the public. But if people want for it to be so, we could release it earlier). So, if anyone wants to help us in the development of the mod, feel free to either inform me, @Commieslav, or just say it here in this thread (I must admit that @Commieslav is far quicker than me when responding to messages).

Well, that should be all this time. I again promise to be more active in the forum (but don’t worry, I have been working for the mod “behind the scenes” for quite a while hahaha, but some things seem to not really be worth to post them here - I can’t go posting every flag I finish). As always, thanks for reading, and I’ll “see you” (or read you?), in the next post I make.

Fun fact: As of Now, the name of our modding group is: The "New Dawn" modding team. (But it could be subject to change in the future, depending if it "sticks" as a good name).

As someone that couldn't find a poll option on my own thread, sadly i can't help with that 😕

1. Yes,but shorter. (Since some people definitely find them interesting, but they are exhausting,so-)

I think this mod is really great than I expected. But I think it would be better that not to add leaders in this mod. I also made many kinds of custom scenario in this game and add the leaders to fit the age. But unfortunately there is no function that change leaders during play in this game and It is so terrible especially after early modern era since there are too many records.

Heya. Well, initially,we didn't plan on adding them (since that would require finding pictures for all the beys of Ottoman sanjaks, which I don't think will be easy for the Balkans). But, i will mention it to the rest of the team!

Hello. We haven't discussed new formables yet but I will make sure to notify the team of it. About the events,we might make some events, but we don't plan on making a long chain of events (like a grand campaign) due to the game's numerous bugs which will ruin it.

“And so it was the the Dawn of an Era, where as some nations may find their place in the sun, others would simply fall into darkness”

Scenarios and Mods involving the famous 1830~ start date are pretty common, but even so, I wanted to try my hand at it. Being sincere, I’m posting this W.I.P since I’ve already lost all my progress once, and recently half of it too, so for it to not be another dead project, I wanted to at least show it, and search for some help on the forum.

Anyway, getting back on track, one of the objectives of this so called mod was to “cover” the number of uncolonized/neutral provinces that appeared on most Victorian Age scenarios, and so with this, one could prevent the “Implausable colonizers”, (such as having early Qing colonies on the coast of Africa, or vice-versa, provinces that should be colonized being barren of any owner until really late on the game, such as provinces on the middle of North America), but most importantly, to give the possibility to the player to play as obscure but historical states or people’s which weren’t represented already on the game, this counts specially for regions such as Southern Africa, the Patagonian region, the Caucasus, Indonesia, Central Asia, etc.

So with this in mind, the player has more options on how to play the game, changing a little bit the structure for colonization, etc.

RELEASE: The Released version down here is a Beta of the project. It still has some errors which need correction, but I decided to release it in the hopes of receiving feedback.

(THE IMAGES ABOVE ARE OLD SCREENSHOTS. FOR NEWER ONES, READ THE THREAD. I'LL EVENTUALLY UPDATE SOME  OF THE ABOVE.)

Implemented Features:

-270+ New Nations (and counting!) -Alternative flags and name for different ideologies of a nation (Example: "Tigray" being "Lordship of Tigray" as a monarchy or the "Tigray People's Democratic Republic" with the socialist ideology). More and revamped formable nations.

Planned Features:

A new type of ideology: "traditional state", specially designed for states which aren't tribal, but still have a chiefdom type of organization. Changes on the name of some things: "Vassal state" to "Satellite State", etc. Change the name of "Diseases", to represent "Situations", depending on the year. (Ex: "minor nationalist uprising" starting on 1844 or  "medium labour strike", etc). More Scenarios [ *Just ideas, probably not all of them* ]: "The revolutions of 1848", "The Crimean War(1853)", "1857", "1860", "Winds of Unification: 1865", " La Belle Époque (1871)", "1879", "The Great Scramble(1884)", "Sino-Japanese war: 1894", "1900", "Administrative divisions of 1900", "Moroccan Crisis: 1905". [There could be scenerios up to 1939, but with this ideas is probably more than enough for now]. New UI. More provinces and , wishfully, a new map background. Events (not for all scenarios though).

Thanks for reading all of this.

PD: If anyone wants to help with this project, contact me through this account.

I think it's  better change the Satellite State for a Protectorat state because Satellite State is more a term for a Cold War scenario such as for Soviet Union satellite states so, we are more in a imperialist scenario it's better add protectorat state, specially for the colonies 🙂

Hello everyone! We in the team have agreed to use Baad's survey idea for his mod (including him, speaking of which go check out The Chairman Baad Collection on the forums 😉). So, here's the survey- would you prefer us to have more historical formables (don't worry Varguista, that includes tribal unification),or fictional formable civilizations?

1. Historical

2. Fictional

Sadly I've to do it this way since neither Chmnd nor I can find the poll button.

I think it's better Fictional formable nations like a great extent of the civ.(Example: Greater British Empire, Greater Chinese Empire etc.)
