How to create map (Step by step)

Recommended Posts

I've added section for creating PROV files:

CREATING PROV FILES
1. If you haven't saved your PROV files, no worries! you can bring them back 😛 , but it might take time here is how:
2. Open mapAoC2_v2.txt and search for line ID*2+1 (If you have id of missing province 100, search for line 201), this line, and line below are the lines that you need to recreate PROV file:

PQCo48G.png
3. Copy them into file called ID (make sure that it isn't .txt file, because that might crash your game)
4. place after last number in first line semicolon - ;, and delete space between them.
4.1 - Before:

2020,2040,2055,2034
5000,2000,3000,4000

4.2 - After:
2020,2040,2055,2034;5000,2000,3000,4000
5. Congratulation's you have recreated your PROV file 😛
Short video (OS is still in polish language, rest is in english):

I just made 50 provinces, put them in a file, and then copied into the game file, then the game crashed.I can't switch to the map I made. What did I do wrong?

The following is the game file, could you check it for me?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I fixed it.I accidentally skipped one when I was sorting.

Age_of_Chinese_Civilizations - 副本.rar

Copy every province from \Update into  \data\provinces somewhere and somehow provinces got destroyed/errored/pwned idk how to call them.
you need to program them once again (connections, growth rate, continents etecera):

Have you cut it in half? (Left and right?)

@WersjonHow in hell do you make a 2nd province in the editor? I make a single province, rename it to 0 and I put it in the editors province folder. Now the editor won't start again. I click on it and nothing happens.

There is one free space in "editor_data\Provinces\mapAoC2_v2.txt" file, delete it.

I put both of my provinces in the maps folders in games (provinces scale 1 and 3, update and updateB), i updat ethe config.json to 2 provinces, I have a GoT_L and GoT_R in map/backgrounds, both of which are 3330x3900, yet the game still crashes when I try to open the map in map editor

Delete copied provinces from scales.

The economy is the most important thing in Age of civilization 2, without it you couldn't even build up an army to invade other countries or even defend yourself for bigger threats, in this post ill be showing you how to stabilize a prosperous economy in ANY kind of country.

(Notice that ill be playing as luxembourg in this tutorial)

1 - Taxes, and spending:   One notable thing on taxes is that you can be putting it 1 little more to the acceptable tax and still not loose happiness, good to be winning some tips like 3 - 19 which is good for me. Also set every spending at its minimum (in future we may do some changes).
2 - Technology points: A very obvious decision for a better economy, i suggest to you be spending more in (Economy growth and income production, also put some in the rest).
3 - Development: Development is the cherry of the cake talking about economy, the development defines how much less unneployment you have in your nation, with more jobs rising, more gold you will get, all due to yhe investiment on development. So, keep investing alot in development in all provinces ultil it reaches the maximum capacity (defined by technology level).
4 - Buildings: Building Workshops is a pretty good way to be getting more money, they add up to 5% more income producton (in other levels 10% and 15%), Also building librarys is good to have more technology points and level, (more useful to the 2nd and 3rd tips).
5 - REEEE at economy: For last, REEEEEE all your money on economy, expending thousands on it, your economy will explode like a nuclear bomb in some turns.
6 - Other tips: Keep in mind to be upgrading your economy buildings such as the workshop and the library to get more technology points.

After many turns, look what have i done after doing all the tips i gave to you guys. (2731 turns)
      Thank You
      - Yetaloz

      How to Make Events?

      ×Recipient×
The country that will receiver the pop-up with the event :T

      ×Trigger×
Trigger are Basically the thing that makes the whole thing work. If the recipient (country) is doing alright with the trigger, than the outcome (result) is going to happen. For exemple: If the trigger is [Civilization Existe: Turkey], If the country Turkey doesn't exists, than the event is not Gonna pop up for the recipient.

      ×Outcome/Result×
Alright, but in this case, Turkey DOES exists, to the trigger is working, than, the event will do the result. Let's say that in this case, the outcome is [Update Relations with Argentina], than, if Turkey exists <trigger>, Turkey is going to update relations with Argentina <outcome/result>.

      Basically version:

Here how events work: a trigger makes the outcome work. For exemplo, if the trigger is [Government] that means that if the recipient has the government: (youchoose) the pop-up will appear. For example:

That means that if the trigger is good/working (the trigger is usa being communist) IT is going to play the outcome

I hope you guys understand it. But if you didn't, you Can comment bellow and I Can do a YouTube video maybe
