We need an improved Invasion system for countries and civilizations

Beside the historical invasions that can be added to game's scenarios by events, I think there should be a dynamic systems allowing a few civilizations to launch a great Invasion

(It is better to both players and AI be able to invade)

Conditions:

Every civilization should be able to launch a massive and great Invasion when some conditions are true

For example:

* A leader with high Popularity and influence

*More advanced technology, military, economy etc than the neighboring countries

*Some specific events that can trigger or increase the chance of a Invasion to happen

And so many more

How does it work

After the conditions come true, the country can decide either to start the Invasion or not

If decided to start the invasion, it gives some bonuses to their martial situations, for example free divisions of army appear, cost of maintaining armies is less, increasing in manpower amount and similar things

Invasion goal

Every invasion has a goal or target

Some of targets could be:

1-conquering a specific area which the country has claims and cores

2- spread the influence of religion and culture of invaders to more lands

3- raiding and conquering countries to reach to a massive money and wealth and expand economics by destroying other countries economy

The end

Any invasion has an ending condition too the conditions will be such:

1-the leader of invader country die at a old age or die for any reason

2- lose a massive and great battle which cause the invasion to be slower or completely lose

3- reaching to invasion goals

We should note that in every condition the invasion ends, after the leader dies it will makes a great chaos and unstable situation in country and causing rebellions and revolutions and maybe the greater country break apart after leader dies

There is definitely one thing that could be added to make invasions interesting and that is the ability for the government of nation that has been invaded to go into exile in a neighbouring (or any other) country and fight on.

Government(s) in exile

An example is Iraq, if Iraq is invaded by the US and its allies and Iraqi regime loses in a conventional war, the leadership of the regime and remaining military units should be able to go into exile in a neighbouring country e.g. Syria and fight against the occupiers in an insurgency. The government in exile can be both recognised as the legitimate government of Iraq and be funded by the host country and other countries.

Power vacuums

If for example the Iraqi regime/government collapses in the aftermath of a conventional invasion a power vacuum should come about whereby groups possibly suppressed by the previous regime I.e. Sunni and Shia Muslim extremists start an insurgency against the occupation forces and possibly even start fighting each other in a civil war where loyalists of the previous regime may also fight to return to power. Adding these mechanics to the game would make things 1000% more interesting and might make players reconsider invading a country.

Refugee Crisis

This would also be a unique mechanic, in the aftermath of an invasion or any other type of war or upheaval, a refugee crisis may start whereby people in the affected country(s) may start moving on mass to other countries possibly causing issues relating to cultural assimilation and stability. This would be a great challenge for players
